|  #1 Posted on 10.6.03 1726.57 | I just finished listening to Radiohead's latest "Hail To The Thief" and its the usual excellence from Radiohead.
Standout tracks include, "Sit Down, Stand Up", "Myxamatosis", and my favorite "Backdrifts."
Overall, while not the classics that "OK Computer", and "Kid A" are, it's better than "Amniesiac."

The album title, of course refers to the presedential election of 1888. And most surprisingly of all, the album art, actually looks like art!

Tilden was the opponent of Hayes in 1876 where Tilden got robbed by the south (Florida IIRC...odd) so that Reconstruction would end. 1888 was Cleveland vs. Harrison where Cleveland won the popular vote but lost the EC vote.

Anyway, back to Radiohead. Got the album today, going to listen to it at work tomorrow. I've held off downloading the songs for this long, so it had better be damn good.

Radiohead was on, and I think they're one of the best live bands today. They only played a couple of songs from "Hail to The Thief, but they played a lot of their greatest hits. Best song was "Idioteque."
I'm sure MTV2 will play it again this week.

I've seen them live, and you'd be amazed at how much of their sound is Ed O'Brien and Jonny Greenwood making really weird noises with their guitars.

| #17 Posted on 23.6.03 0009.46 | I fucking love Radiohead. I've been mulling over where to stick Hail to the Thief in ranking the greatest of their albums. I guess it would be:
1) Kid A
2) The Bends
3) Hail to the Thief
4) OK Computer
5) Amnesiac
6) Pablo Honey
I love the new songs. The standout one for me on this album would be Wolf at the Door.
On a side note, I got tickets to see them on 8/20. This will be my first time. I had tickets to see them two years ago when they were going to play two consecutive shows in a row in Centreville, VA at a place called Bull Run Park. Unfortunately, we had the thunderstorm of the century for the first show and it was cancelled. The next show was also cancelled b/c it rained so hard the stage sank. SO, for this year's show, we're going to have t-shirts made that say "Bull Run Survivor" on them.
