So rumors have been brewing for weeks now that HBK is going to appear on tonight's live Smackdown! from San Anotnio. Do you think this has a chance of happening? And if it does, what type of role would you like to see him in (face? heel? nWo? wrestler? non-wrestler?)?

I'm guessing it won't go down, as the WWF hasn't really been into big surprise appearances lately. They usually leak out some kind of hints to pop a good buyrate first (Flair was an exception, though), and his name hasn't popped up at all lately.

If he does show up I would only want to see him in the ring if he is his old self. It would be pretty depressing to see an out of shape, partially cripled Shawn Michaels in the ring. And as far as his face/heel status, I would like to see him in the nWo, but it's hard to imagine him hanging out with Hogan. I just have a feeling that if he is coming back the WWF will have him be a face to combat the nWo. I guess we'll have to wait and see.

Somebody in another thread had the idea that Shawn would ref the title match, and we'd have a double turn where he and Triple H would join the NWO, and somehow Jericho would turn back.. You're right, though, that Hogan doesn't fit into the "Kliq" equation.. I could picture him getting kicked out so he can finish up as Real American Hogan. It might be too soon for all of this, though. They'll probably play the normal NWO thing for all it's worth before they start adding people. Unless they see that it's not really working (and it's not).

Yeeeah. My idea was to have HBK interfere in the Hall/Austin match, setting up a "Fragile Iron Man" match at the next PPV. Special guest refs would be Scott Taylor and Scott Steiner.

"By god! He's gently placed him on the mat! Can Michaels withdstand this hellacious scintilating attack?"

My point: Why put a virtual cripple out there while guys like Jamie Knoble languish in the HWA?

Answer: Crony-ism.

Actual Ross quote: "I think HBK could go, in the right environment."

Yeah, so could Droz and Dynamite if you bust out the All Japan ramp...

damn Travis... i don't know whether to be shocked and offended or laugh at that one. but as usual, when in doubt - laught it up, its much more healthy. i totally see your point. as much as i would love to see the "old" HBK back, its not going to be the same - so why waste yet another roster spot on a non-wrestler?

I'd fathom he was making love to his stripper wife on a bed of Vinces' money...who knows if he was "in no condition to perform"....

The man is burnt out. Broken down. Irrelevant.

Yup.

All I have to say is that this rumor comes up EVERY time the WWF rolls into San Antonio, so I don't put any stock into it anymore.
