The memories of my family outings are still a source of strength to me. I remember we'd all pile into the car - I forget what kind it was - and drive and drive. I'm not sure where we'd go, but I think there were some trees there. The smell of something was strong in the air as we played whatever sport we played. I remember a bigger, older guy we called "Dad." We'd eat some stuff, or not, and then I think we went home. I guess some things never leave you.
If a kid asks where rain comes from, I think a cute thing to tell him is "God is crying." And if he asks why God is crying, another cute thing to tell him is "Probably because of something you did."

I guess the "shame" stems from him being in 'N Sync, but yes, the song does indeed rule. Gets me really goin' during a workout.

| #28 Posted on 6.8.03 0018.57 | Put me in the "Rock Your Body" camp. It reminds me of the Jackson 5, and that's not a bad thing, that's a good thing!
Other than that, I catch A LOT of flak from my buddies for being absolutely in love with "Just the Way You Are" by Billy Joel. I got made fun of for that FOREVER one night by two guys who then went on to discuss their undying love of Styx--STYX!!!!!!!!!!! One of my least favorite (and therefore most despised) bands of all time!

Hey, Chico! there is NOTHING wrong with enjoying New Order.
And Duran Duran put out some pretty damn good stuff aroung their pop crap, like "Careless Memories"...and a lot of their last few releases were very good....

I wouldn't say that he rocks, but honestly, I've been forced to listen to worse. His CD is a favorite of my Mom when she's doing things around the house. It is pretty catchy.

I really like Lauren Christy (of the prod team Matrix, who did Avril's album as well as Liz's latest)I have 2 of her albums. I love Michelle Branch. I'm going to San Diego to see my favorite band ever, the Go-Go's on Sunday.

| #38 Posted on 8.8.03 0110.04 | I don't feel guilty about it but I do get shit on for liking The Monkees. The songs were solid, the show was hilarious and Head was a Kaufman-like mindfuck. From the bizarre radio commercials for it that never said it was movie to its title allegedly being chosen so the film makers' next project could be billed as "From the directors who gave you Head" it was pure brilliance. From the 60s equivilant of the Backstreet Boys, no less. And the film makers's next project? Easy Rider!! Yes, Jack "Fucking" Nicholson forged his career with The Monkees. He's even on the soundtrack reissue.

Actually, I do like alot of MTV/VH1 pop (Jewel, Britney, Christina, etc.). I liked Justin's "Cry Me a River".
I'll listen to anything more than once, and most anything more than twice.
