Oops: That should be episode 2 of Smallville Season 11. I forgot there's more than one 'episode' per season. This episodes in weekly chapters thing easily confuses me.

It doesn't say he doesn't know Joe Chill.
It just means that he comes to Smallville or Metropolis...
and Joe Chill probably worked at the Talon at some point or something like that or worked with Lex.
The suit does look horrible. A hoodie would've been better. 
I wonder if somehow they remember that Chloe mentioned in s10 that she knew of this vigilante in Gotham. Or at least I think she brought up Batman's existence.
The positive about this though, there is no way they could've done this in the tv show...

Half wrong. It is a girl, but it's not Robin, it's Nightwing! (tvguide.com) And Nightwing is Stephanie Brown. Whaaa?
