I've found a possible downside to this game. Here's a list of the DJ's that will appear on the in-car radios (from the "branching-out" 411).

Station | Music | DJ
VRock | Rock | Lazlow
Flash FM | Pop| Toni
Emotion 98.3 | Emotive Anthems | Fernando
Fever 105 | Soul
Wave 103 | New Wave
Wildstyle Pirate Radio | Hip Hop and Electro
Radio Espantoso | Jazz and Latin

I'm slightly pissed because the "Chatterbox" station in GTA3 is my favourite station, and it looks like that there will be no Talk radio. Still, Fernando gets his own station.

Plus, continuity! With Vice City being set in the 80s...

Lazlow: "Alright, you are listening to Chatterbox, hosted by me, Lazlow, because I got kicked off the rock station. Let's go over here and talk to somebody about their life. Hello caller, you are on the air."

Can't wait until the soundtrack is completely announced.

The big point is, of course, how awesome Lazlow's gonna be since he was apparently "kicked off" the rock station. That said, the loss of Chatterbox will be a painful one, but thank GOD they are adding a rock station!! The only listenable one on GTA3, aside from Chatter, was Double Cleff.

Gotta disagree... the one I wanted to kick out was Flashback FM. Jah Radio, Rise FM and MSX FM got the most play in my house.

Wait, no Double Cleff? Bullshit! Between the ultimate mood music (especially for the early Mafia parts of the game), and the weird pedophile DJ, that was far and away my favorite station.

Glad to see they're bring back Lazlow, though.

(And I always felt there was something oddly endearing about Flashback, but I don't know what that is exactly.)

remember, this game takes place 20 years ago, so the "Flashback" music is the current music...

I agree, but I wonder if the Fernando station will be similar. "Emotive anthems" sounds like it could be more classical w/o the opera or new age John Tesh crap.

I'm really intrigued by the New Wave station too... Riki, the Flashback point was a good one. I totally missed it.

If Lazlow's on there, he's got to be taking callers... not only that, but maybe there will be some kind of goofy radio contest too.

Lazlow's a trip.

As for my favorite GTA III stations... K-Jah, Flashback, Rise, Chatterbox and Lips 106 are all stations that I enjoy. I don't particularly care for MSX, and I truly hate Game Radio. But then again, I don't like rap.

Although... I do like that one song on Game Radio in which this dude starts rapping real fast, and then he says “mother--” and suddenly it changes to a commercial. Hilarious.

Scotto, the PC version of the first GTA game had multiplayer support. I do not recall it being very enjoyable (mostly due to it being hard to run into each other and, of course, try to run each other over.
