Well, the ads said this was from one of the producers of Buffy and Angel...and yeah, this had a very "Angel" vibe. It felt like Angel right down to the evil supernatural corporate big bads revealed at the end.

This felt like a cop show set in a world of werewolves and other magic creatures. And honestly, this SHOULD be a fun idea, but it felt awfully dull. The leads don't interest me at all, but Eddie the reformed Grimm has some potential.

It was a boring pilot, but I'll give this one another chance. Thoughts on this one?

So is this better than Once Upon a Time and are either anything more than blatant Fables ripoffs?

I liked the nod to Superman II as well, the phantom zone was interesting as well. Jimmy Olson was a little disconcerting as the actor's twin brother, Shawn Ashmore, has appeared in Smallville twice as a villain.
