This could make for another long season for the Reds. Their pitching is suspect at best and now this. To make matters worse, this is the second year in a row that I've been at the game when Griffey has hit the turf in pain. I think I may be a bit of a jinx.
Suspect might be a compliment to the Reds staff. Horrid on the other hand might be an appropriate description. As for Griffey, is it safe to say now that he has gone from sure bet first ballot Hall of Famer to possible borderline candidate with the offensive explosion the past few years causing his overall numbers to no longer look as impressive?
Nice to see the Red Sox have decided to go 'Arsonist By Committee'. Now, where's the nearest bridge?
6-10 weeks, from what I've heard. You just have to hope he can get back on his feet and make something of this season.
And I think he'll be in the Hall, but more than likely not first-ballot. He's done too much to stay out, not just at the plate, but also in the field. But these injury woes have just completely fucked him over.
Re: the difference between Braun and Fielder's walks. Don't forget that Braun hit 3rd and Fielder his 4th, so pitchers couldn't afford to pitch around Braun at all while they could be more careful with Prince in order to pitch to the Brewers' #5 hitter.
