Looks like dial-up will have to be a temporary solution for me, albeit an ineffective one, due to the colored flags and exp bars... and the typing still shows up at a snail's pace, though I dont really mind it THAT much...

Then can you recommend a browser for Windows that has as good of HTML/CSS support as IE6 and a non-annoying interface? (Which automatically rules out Opera and FirebirdFox.) I truly am open to switching away from IE, but no browser I've tried has seemed to do any better, and I've tried every one I've come across. (I probably tried more than 30 mail clients before I found one I liked better than Outlook Express.)

I blame EMI.
GREEDY CORPORATE BASTARDS
Hey you say that they are greedy corporate bastards, but when I view the page, your location "Backstage at THE LAKE SHOW" is in yellow. What's up with that?! Are you not down with the grey cause? Is that COLOR an expression of your alliance to the greedy corporations? :D
'But if one is struck by me only a little, that is far different, the stroke is a sharp thing and suddenly lays him lifeless, and that man's wife goes with cheeks torn in lamentation, and his children are fatherless, while he, staining the soil with his red blood, rots away, and there are more birds than women swarming about him.' What specifically isn't non-annoying about their interfaces? I'm pretty sure you can use skins and modifications to get around most of those problems.

I once heard that Frosty was a man of color...I didn't know what they meant at the time, but now - NOW...
CRZ is your taking the site grey an indication of your support of the message behind the action, or was it just something on the web you felt like being involved in that allowed you to play with the site layout for a day?

I keep getting a problem whereby every so often, when I click on a thread none of the Names appear by anyone's posts and there are a number of SQL call errors at the top of the page. (I'd wager that the errors are the same number as posts - missing names - on the page, but I haven't bothered to count.)
For reference, I'm using Firebird 0.7 (I'll upgrade to Firefox soon enough...)
Yeah, angles in the ring... someone thought of that a long time ago. They called it pro wrestling." -- the MCS

That was me. I broke that while attempting to resolve a memory error (which I did, eventually). You should no longer see the problem.

My problem with Opera was it's CSS support, I could tolerate it's UI. FireBird (haven't tried Fox, but I presume it's the same) just felt like I was using a Fisher Price web browser, for whatever reason. Maybe it could have been fixed by installing skins and such but I was put off by the browser as soon as I tried it.
Of course, I'm now using Thunderbird for e-mail in spite of it being one of the most unintuitive programs I've come across in some time. But at least it does everything I want it to do, even if it is a pain in the ass to figure out how to tell it to do it, sometimes.

This might be blastphemy but I like this better than anything, and I am using IE.
It's been one of the choices since the original implementation... :)
Just curious, when does it revert back to the user's settings? I'd guess midnight Pacific, but I'm pretty sure it went grey at midnight Eastern, at least for me.
EDIT: Ah, my Blues. Thanks, Zed. The W's dead, though.
