This is a superhero movie that's clearly invoking Star Wars with the cosmic scope and variety of aliens, and that's refreshing from how earthbound every other superhero movie is. I'm not up on current Green Lantern continuity but I guess they managed to get every alien Green Lantern into the Oa crowd shots. I especially liked Geoffrey Rush as Tomar-Re ("I was told you stammer.") As ever, my main sticking point is Ryan Reynolds just because he's just not how I envision Hal Jordan as a character, but hopefully he'll convince me he's Hal during the actual movie. (Note nothing of Blake Lively was shown except for one brief shot.) @BackoftheHead

To be fair, the Hal we have today is more up Ryan Reynolds' alley. Silver Age Hal is more like Charleton Heston who if alive would have been an awesome Alan Scott. The Wee Baby Sheamus.

Looks like the costume won't be superglowy all the time. I'm thinking the storyline will be similar to the Secret Origin arc from a couple years ago.

I disagree John, I think Reynolds can handle the role of Hal Jordan (especially the current version). I approve of SINESTRO in this footage. After a (very) long hiatus, I have begun to write again. And this time, I'm not alone!

I really liked this episode. It was a pleasant change to them traipsing around the wilderness. The sense of reluctance was felt from both Rick's group and, I'm guessing, most of the audience.
