I was all set to post spoilers to this massive conclusion. Then I realized that it'd be a total disservice. This is an absolute must-read! Those worried that this story would lose steam at the end can rest easy, because this is THE single best comic issue of the year (counting both DC and Marvel), even managing to beat out the amazing Ultimates 2 #13. All of the Lanterns get their moment and Coast City finally rises up united, something sorely needed since the events of Zero Hour.
And if that wasn't enough, pay special heed to the issue's conclusion and to the final fate of the Anti-Monitor.
Spoiler Below: Highlight text to read
Severely depleted after having Warworld (the whole frickin' planet) chucked at him and being tossed into space for dead by Superman-Prime, the weakened Anti-Monitor lands on a deserted planet and gets sucked into a Black Lantern Battery! The issue ends with the dead rising...with black power rings!
Summer 2009 will belong to the Green Lanterns.
I've been going on for months that THIS should have been the big flagship event of 2007 instead of whatever the hell's going on in Countdown. This issue solidified my point.
Thumbs way the hell up!

"Wocka Wocka...who wants to hear a funny-ass joke?"
I've writen 608 words worth of spoilerific fun at this poin....but I checked back here to make sure that you haven't created a new thread because I figured you'd make one eventually It's False.
But you're right, it would be a disservice. So I stopped writing the spoilerific review.
You know, I was going to wait for the trades. I didnít get the chance to buy any of the other books, so I was going to wait for the trade. And try to tide myself over by going the LCS to read them in the meantime, because I fell a month or two behind.
But there are some things that simply deserve your money. I will say this right here and right now;
So many GREAT moments. SO MANY MUCH AWESOMES. Geoff Johns nails down everything, and Reis handles the art with ease. Of course, you cannot mention art without brining up the incomparable Ethan Van Sciver, who I wish could draw ALL comics in the known world.
Maybe in a few days we can open this up for more spoiler dicussions. But oh man. People need to get this YESTERDAY.
This is not hyberbole, this isn't hype, this is FACT. If you own ONE comic this year, this is the ONE to get. Period. End of discussion.
(edited by El Nastio on 12.12.07 2231) Yes, I finally have updated the Troll Moment of the Week! This week is brought to you by ;
"STONEBOY!" , who brought us the following such pieces of wisdom as:
STONEBOY!: "THIS GOES MESSAGE GOES OUT TO ALL CANADIANS ESPECIALLY MONTREAL WHEREVER THE F#CK THAT IS".
Kidbrooklyn: "Please god tell me that you're making fun of the douche who started this thread...
Wait, no he isn't. He's serious. I hadn't read his previous brilliance before. I apologize" (in reference to a reply by James1978).

You know... I was disapointed. I don't really see the reason not to put spoilers because nothing really seems to have happened with any lasting effects.
Green Lanterns!, Yellow Lanterns!, (Red Lanterns!) Comming soon!, Purple Lanterns (Star Saphire?), The Guardians creating a Blue ring (Blue Lanterns!), the aformentioned Black Lanterns... it all felt like a ten year old came up with this after getting his first box of Crayolas. Geoff Johns really fell short on this, to me.
Sure, it'll lead to ANOTHER big cross over later on, but yet again, Johns fails to close a story.
It was good story with great build up... but it peetered out at the last minute. I only hope the Black Hand ends up leading the Black Lanterns... that'll be cool.
I enjoyed the first part of the Sandman arc last week. And, while the Cap thing is stupid, once it's all collected, this glitch won't matter. from last week (Ithink) Ghost Rider #5 was like sandman and preacher mashed-up with a 70s Roger Corman film.
