"Here it is at last, the first 150-minute trailer. ``Armageddon'' is cut together like its own highlights. Take almost any 30 seconds at random, and you'd have a TV ad. The movie is an assault on the eyes, the ears, the brain, common sense and the human desire to be entertained. No matter what they're charging to get in, it's worth more to get out." - Roger Ebert

I harbor serious doubts, myself.
Mainly because Rise of the Planet of the Apes is getting surprisingly strong reviews, I submit 2001's Tim Burton reimagining of Planet of the Apes. Mark Wahlberg, Paul Giamatti, Tim Roth, Helena Bonham Carter, Estella Warren, Charton Heston! The result was a turd slung by a monkey.

Intense! Creepy! Gross! Dismal! Awesome? Yes. As good as the first? Probably not, but don't let that stop you. After it was over, I had to walk around Toys R Us for a half-hour in order to unwind. It didn't really help.
