Hill, who turned 32, took part in both of the Magic's practices, running sprints and competing in a scrimmage without restriction or incident. He reported no pain. But he was overcome by joy. "My body feels pretty good," Hill said. "Everyday I play is a great day. It's a happy day. So when I go back to the locker room, I can do cartwheels and flips. "I'm tired, but I'm excited." Tuesday was Hill's first basketball action since he re-injured his ankle in January of 2003.
Some said it looked as Hill hadn't lost much, including his trademark slashing ability. During the scrimmage, Hill did not hesitate to drive down the middle through centers Tony Battie and Kelvin Cato, with defensive ace Stacey Augmon hounding him. He missed the layup, but sent a message: So far, so healthy. "He's still got it," second-year guard Keith Bogans said. "I consider myself a pretty good defender, but he would go by me with that first step. Stop on a dime and pull up for jumpers on me. "Lots of people have forgotten about him. He's going to show them how good he still is.

You know, this is great news to see and if Grant makes it - more power to him. But I'm gonna exercise caution here as far as being optimistic.
I got three words for you. Ken Griffey Jr.
