The official blurb for the film reads, "From the initial open-call auditions, to the grueling training with wrestling legend Mando Guerrero, to over-night success and global recognition, to the shows sudden and unexpected cancellation in 1990, the GLOW girls recall their time on the show with a mixture of heartfelt nostalgia and tearful regret over injuries and the loss of friends. For some, the show was a brief foray into acting and a short-lived adventure on the way to a normal life. For others, that brief time in GLOW would impact and influence their lives for years to follow. For all of the women, working on GLOW was a unique and exciting experience that will bond them forever. Starring over 30 original GLOW girls!"
They'd better have David McLane interviewed as well. Without David McLane, they've got nuthin'.
This could be fun. There is a lot of good stories about Glow from the Miss Americana push to the backstage cattiness to Vince being a part owner and then closing it when it started beating Superstars in some big markets. I will be curious to watch, does it say who is doing it?
The Wee Baby Sheamus.
Twitter: @realjoecarfley its a bit more toned down there. A bit.
I am certainly intrigued by this. It could make for some interesting commentary. I would like to see all the "farmer's daughters" talk about their roles for instance.
A few questions: Will that ref Steve and "Johnny C" talk about the past while hawking Wrestlelicious and the Horny Goat Brewing Company? Will they talk about the fact that some of the girls went on to more adult wrestling and/or hardcore porn? Is Mt. Fiji still alive?
"Put on your helmets, we'll be reaching speeds of 3!" "It was nice of you to give that dead woman another chance." "All right, look alive everybody...oh sorry Susan."- MST3K: Space Mutiny Click Here (myspace.com)
Ever since the death of WCW Prime, and with it the legacy of the great Johnny B Badd, I have felt alone. But a new love has quickly emerged; courtesy of Bobby Heenan who could not give less of a crap about the program he’s talking about.
