With all the posting about the Bush daughters (Jeb's and W's) I find it worth noting that Gore's son was caught speeding and driving drunk. Did he get charged with anything? Of course not! He got busted once before for going 97 in a 55 and got slapped on the wrist with a 125 dollar fine. Having a rich/powerful father sure does help.

Actually, if you read the article, the $125 was for speeding two years ago. It doesn't say what the punishment was for this incident.

Not condoning anything, mind you, just making sure you give the real facts.

Thanks for pointing that out..... changed my post. Personally, I am a right-winger, but I don't think Gore or Bush's kids should get any better treatment that you or I, but that's life.

And wouldn't it also be underaged drinking as well for young Mr. Gore?

Thank you Mr. Wanz for the check, now you get an AWA World Title Reign. But be careful, my boy Greg is a heat machine.

Yes, it is, and he was charged with that as well according to the linked article.

Getting a first-offense speeding ticket knocked down to a moderate fine isn't all that difficult -- I'm sure many of us know people who've had that happen. It's not uncommon for deals to be struck just to speed the case along and avoid a court battle, even when we mere mortals are the defendants.

Rich and powerful family connections rarely HURT in cases like these, of course.

Yes - I know my share of highway patrolmen (and have run into my share) who are loathe to give someone a 15 MPH+ speeding ticket to someone from out of town or someone who's never had a ticket before, just to avoid traffic court dates being set for someone who likely couldn't make it.

But yeah, the rich kids like this are piles of shit - they really need their asses beat.

All in agreement here. I don't care who's son or daughter you are. You get caught driving drunk, you face the penalties.

Has anyone else caught this series on Showtime? I had never ever heard of it- I just thought I would tune in when I saw "Penn and Teller," expecting to see magic. I caught the episode where they were ripping into the environmentalist movement....
