Looks like Google's put up their second pass of this site - all the pages now come up with dates between 6 and 14 February instead of beginning of January. (Click on any "cached" link after a "site:wienerboard.com" search to see what I mean)
Other projects have been keeping me from tracking which and how many extra hits they've been bringing us, but if nothing else it's been fun getting a thin slice of insight into how their indexing works behind the scenes...
If I remember to stay vigilant, we'll see how long it takes them to put up the next sweep. It might take just as long, or they might ramp up and turn around sooner...it probably depends on the clickthroughs and if/how they change our "scores."
Also, now that we've gone three months with the wienerboard.com domain, we now have a "representative" rank on alexa.com - 38,452. (Take with as many shakers of salt as needed, as slashwrestling.com still comes in high at 53,565 despite being quite defunct...I mean, "on hiatus.")
Except that it wouldn't jump to the relevant portion of the post. Presumably the search is going to the exact post that is important... Now, I doubt that our Google searches are actually working like that, so maybe it's a moot point.
