So, for an editorial I was doing, I needed to search for Mickey Mouse, so, using IE, I Googled a search for Mickey Mouse.

Well, that was some time ago but I have a problem I have no clue how to get rid of.

No matter how many times I clear my AutoComplete, History, Temp. Files, cookies, and on/offline content, whenever I type the letter "g" the mickey mouse google search comes up.

I know it's not a big deal, but it is really annoying the heck out of me. Can someone please tell me how to get rid of this problem? I have searched and emailed google and got the same answer of "Clear AutoComplete/Turn Autocomplete off" or "Use down arrow and hit delete button" but nothing works or will get rid of it.

Any and all help on this would be greatly appreciated. I mean, I don't think there is an uninstall/reinstall IE on my computer. I mean, when you put up Windows XP, isn't having explorer just a default program as part of the setup? So, yea...I need help. Thanks. that is a tasty burger!

IIRC, you need to right click the autocomplete entry when it comes up, and then hit delete.
I had that problem when I typed I was using Google to find porn.

In IE help, put in the phrase autocomplete. It brings up a few options.

I think you can completely turn off autocomplete by doing this

You can configure AutoComplete to save and suggest only the information you want. You can choose whether to use AutoComplete for Web addresses, forms, and passwords, or not use it all. You can also clear the history for any of these.

In Internet Explorer, on the Tools menu, click Internet Options.
    Click the Content tab.
    Under Personal information, click AutoComplete.
Select the check boxes for the AutoComplete options you want to use.

You can also apparently clear the autocomplete by clearing your history.

The AutoComplete feature saves previous entries you've made for Web addresses, forms, and passwords. To delete entries from the Address bar, you must clear your History folder. You cannot clear individual entries from the list of saved entries.

On the Tools menu in Internet Explorer, click Internet Options.
    Click the General tab.
    Under History, click Clear History.

When typing information in Web forms, and typing passwords, you can remove an item from the list of suggestions by clicking the item and then pressing the DELETE key.
For Help on an item, click at the top of the dialog box, and then click the item.

If those don't work, you could always switch browsers and use a Mozilla product. I recommend Firefox, but the Mozilla suite also works nicely. Http:// for more details about both products.

Hope that helps.
