Here's the link: http://www.wwe.com/inside/news/estradareleased

I predict Meltzer will go into great detail about how they so so blew it with him because his OVW persona was the most (and then I fell asleep).

I always really liked the guy, and am surprised that they couldn't do anything with him after his success with Umaga. I can see TNA being just as uncreative with him as the WWE, so he might just be stuck.

"My Name es Armando Alejandrro Estraaaaada!"

We will never hear this again. And that's what is really sad.

It sounded like they finally realized how buff he was, and therefore he should be wrestling, not talking.

I hate to be thinking in terms of his ethnicity, but LAX was very over when they had Konnan to talk for them, and Estrada could fit very well into that role.

What's funny is that, according to Wikipedia, he is actually of Palestinian descent; and he actually was part of Muhammad Hassan's entourage when they were both training in OVW.

And as with most things OVW, it was indeed Awesome. Still the only wrestling show I watch regularly these days.

Which was exactly the wrong thing to do, as his talking skills FAR outweigh his wrasslin ability. I still have nightmares about his match with Ricky Atlas Dabone Ortiz.

They dropped the middle name awhile ago ... So the sadness would continue even if they hadn't fired him

Parquet Wishes and Leprechaun Dreams

The most hilarious thing about Tommy Dreamer is that everyone else in WWE, from Shelton Benjamin to dudes who haven't even debuted yet, has a T-shirt available. WWE doesn't even bother printing up a T-shirt for Tommy Dreamer, A MAN WHOSE GIMMICK IS WEARING A T-SHIRT WHILE WRESTLING. And why is that? Because not a god damn person would ever pay money for a Tommy Dreamer shirt. Not even his own mother. As a result he usually ends up wearing a shirt that says "WRESTLEMANIA 24" or "JUDGEMENT DAY." I think it's time for Tommy Dreamer to just print up a T-shirt that says "UPCOMING PAY PER VIEW"

Yeah. Though he's actually of Palestinian descent (as someone's already mentioned), he plays the over-the-top Cuban really well. On the other hand, LAX have been rather run-of-the-mill since the departure of Konnan and need a mouthpiece to up the entertainment quotient to the levels of awesomeness raised by Beer Money. Sounds like a good fit, so long as they don't have him wrestle.

Is he really that bad in the ring? I saw the few matches he was in on ECW, and it seemed like he at least had potential.

Which is why this is so confusing. Can promo, can wrestle, so they cut him? Zuh?

I saw two singles matches and I got the impression that he was much better off being on the mic. Then again, one of those matches was a squash loss to Colin Delaney, so maybe I missed out on the potential.

Hey, he DID play a half-Cuban, half-Palestinian character in OVW, yes? Osama Alejandro Rodriguez?

I admit I lost track of him when he went to ECW, but this is really a waste of talent. He was so over with Umaga, I guess too over, and then they flushed it down the toilet. There may be more to it than that, but his legs were cut out from under him right as his act was getting hot. I understand if you don't want Umaga getting face pops, but SURELY you can do something with a guy who has the look, and can talk. What I saw in the ring wasn't that impressive, but that hasn't stopped Santino.

I don't know if it's organization, or if it's just that the guy is a total lunatic.
