When I've seen these tests in the past, I'd always seen it as 9 P in the S S. I was sure you guys had made a typo earlier.

My first impression also, but I did my time in SA, so when I see those two letters together, that is _always_ the first thing I think of. But I had no idea of the first part. So I guessed. Usually the best idea.
I have seen these before also. Are we far enough past everyone who is interested initially to post some spoilers? Cause there are a couple I really can't figure out..

I am thinking: sports I know nothing about. 3 W in a T - I think it is cricket, but don't know what a T is.

With a little more patience and spellcheck, and thanks to the clues here, I now have them all. It felt pretty good that I was on the right track for the ones I thought I was close on.

The clue that helped me the most was "sports I know nothing about" and the note on the bottom that refers to the "cultural bias"

This was fun.

I got 27 without cheating, and two more with the hints here. Can't get the cricket one even with that hint. Also missing 10, 24, and 28. (EDIT: with Steg's hint, I got 28.)

Funny thing it, I remember me and my family being fascinated by a test in the same format, but with different questions, when I was a kid. I remember questions like 57 H.V.

(If you can't catch up with that one, you'll be in a pickle! B^)

We spent 2 lunch hours (among other times) doing these at work last week. In a collaborative effort we got the whole first test and 16 on the second test; the ones we're missing are driving us crazy. Can't wait til they post the answers to those.

I got the cricket one by looking through rules online, and got 24...finally broke down and looked at the answer for 10, which should have been easy.

Working on part two now...my girlfriend and I working together over IM. We're up to 17. Some of the Part two ones are challenging, a couple are easy, and some are just lame!

No, not for sure, I was being sardonic. You didn't give anyone enough information to tell anything about your problem. When you turned it on and heard the crackle, did you leave it on or did you freak out and turn it off right away?
