The WWE mobile alert sent out a message today that the meeting between Kurt Angle and WWE executives last Friday was "heated and confrontational" and labeled Angle as an "emotional wreck" when he left the building.
Eh, who knows, it's probably a work, but if this is true, I don't hold out much hope for him ever wrestling again. Ah, who am I kidding...
ANGLE! JARRETT! BOUND FOR GLORY!!!
Kevin Kelly: "Mr. Austin, would you like to comment on Wade Keller's Take that endorsing the XFL hurts your anti-authority character?"
Steve Austin: "Oh shit, he actually said that? I thought the boys in the back were ribbing me!"
Kelly: "No, he really said that. Did they tell you the part about you sitting in the stands, looking all skeptical?"
Austin: "AHAHAHAHAHAHA. Yeah... oh man that was too much."
Jesus. Does WWE have to tell us everything?! What's wrong with having a heated and confrontational meeting with Angle and then not telling anyone about it? Let the man have a little dignity, for godsakes.
He'll probably show up on the November NOAH Budokan Hall show and have the match of the year versus Jun Akiyama.

Ya know, I've been as addicted to WWE programming as anyone. No matter how bad it has gotten, no matter how far past the line of decency they go (I'm looking at you, Vicki "turning heel"), I just stuck with it and kept watching because I just need wresting. I admit it, I'm hooked. But after these past two months of just shitty move after distasteful tactic...I can't. This was it right here. The man has frickin' health issues, mental and physical. And the WWE is gonna send out a damned *mobile alert* badmouthing him?! For what, an ANGLE?! To make them look good? To put heat on him?! No. That's just it. I dunno why that's the line in the sand I won't cross, but there it is. Until the WEEEE gets their collective heads outta their ass, I'm done with them. I have DVDs to sustain me, and TNA to dabble in. Screw 'em, and I wish Kurt Angle nothing but the best and I hope he comes out of all of this healed and back together again.
They're probably covering themselves for if/when he pops his clogs, at which point they can say it was well established he was an "emotional wreck" but wouldn't accept their help.
"Wasn't our fault, we tried to help!"

Wasn't sure where to post this as it's kind of an odd train of thought....
Why has Terkay disappeared from SmackDown these past two weeks? Is he in the doghouse over something? The reason I put this here is because his sudden vanishing act from SmackDown coincides exactly with Angle's release. I know part of Terkay's cache was the eventual pro-style rematch with Angle. Is it possible they've taken their foot off the gas with his push because Angle's no longer with the company? No point in rushing the guy when he needs more seasoning.
To those who say people wouldn't look; they wouldn't be interested; they're too complacent, indifferent and insulated, I can only reply: There is, in one reporter's opinion, considerable evidence against that contention. But even if they are right, what have they got to lose? Because if they are right, and this instrument is good for nothing but to entertain, amuse and insulate, then the tube is flickering now and we will soon see that the whole struggle is lost. This instrument can teach, it can illuminate; yes, and it can even inspire. But it can do so only to the extent that humans are determined to use it to those ends. Otherwise it is merely wires, and lights, in a box.-Edward R. Murrow
The most underrated part of that main event is Jesse. I mean, Jesse was ready to get his ass filleted by Taker if necessary to protect Festus. Pretty awesome cementing of character, and that's something that has rarely been seen in 2000s WWE.
