As one of I'm sure MANY who read slashwrestling quietly and lurked here as well, I want to chip in a perky "me too."

CRZ...I've been reading you since 1998. You are the BEST recapper I've read. If this is the end, thank you for many Tuesday mornings of stifled laughter when I was supposed to be working.

Now I have to find something ELSE to thwart my productivity. Damn you, Vince.

Nipsey Russell? LOL!

Now, lets go to Joyce Buliafont for the exact WRONG answer....

I always felt so sorry for the contestants on the Pyramid who got Joyce...the answer might be..."Things in New York" and her first clue would be something like "the New York Mets!" BZZZZZT!

Well it IS his site. He should make it about him. As far as OO is concerned, he has no RAW recapper.

On SLASH, we concern about CRZ.
On OO, we concern about Rick.
On 411, we concern about Hyatte.

Deal.

As I've been reading this increasingly long thread, I've come to one inescapable conclusion - I've taken CRZ for granted over these many years. For that I am truly sorry. I never once stopped to think how much time and effort he put into slashwrestling, nor did I ever think to thank him for those efforts. While it may be too little, too late, I have just purchased an item off CRZ's Amazon.com wishlist, as a way of saying "Thank you for everything." This isn't an attempt at bribery to make him come back. If he's decided to leave, so be it. I just hope he knows how much he is and was appreciated.

(For anyone else who wishes to follow my lead, go to www.amazon.com, click "Wishlist" on the top right, and fill in Christopher Robin Zimmerman in the search box on the right)

Ditto. What am I going to do with my work day to make it bearable now...

If this truly is the end, thanks for the years of top notch recaps, Zed.

People People People. CRZ is not gone. You can still get his thoughts on what is happening every week. All you have to do is play Extreme Warfare Revenge each week after Raw goes off the air.
What I really miss is that I use to go to slash first and then use their link to come here to Wienerville. Now all my bookmarks go to a blank page. Damn you CRZ. Damn you for making all my bookmarks obsolete

Unless he fixed it in the new release, EWR CRZ was rather bland and sucked. Go read the EWR thread in random for more.

Everything else here still sucks, though.

Thanks for everything, Z. At least slash had its big 3.0 blow out to commemorate its run. Hopefully someday soon you'll at least restore the main page so that we can still remember the good times (and the bad times you made good to read...)

And I too got hit by losing the slash --> wienerville corridor.

wait. did CRZ really give up on wrestling? If so, on the one hand, I respect him, for he got sick of it and stopped watching, which is a refreshing change from the vast majority of the internet. On the other hand, I don't see what was so bad about it. I know he doesn't like Bischoff, but seriously, I know we've all seen much worse. Oh well.

I saw some nice-looking Cactus Jack DVDs at FYE. If the WWE does get shot straight to Hell, at least I'll have something to tide me over until something new comes along.

My Turn....

If CRZ decided to nuke 8 or so years of recapping because of one night, so be it. He doesn't owe me a damn thing.

But what about TheCubsFan, Seadawg, Jim Ross Jr, Brewguy, cfbg and the others? Did they all get together and sign some mass suicide pact? I know, they probably have sites of their own, but it was here where I found them, and now I can't.

At first I thought, Good for you Z, that'll show 'em. Then I thought, show who what? As much as he's talked about being a FAN, I find it odd that less than two hours was all it took to make him tap out.

Well, I guess it doesn't really matter anyways.

Cripes, now I gotta WATCH the show.

I don't want to put words in anyone's mouth, but if I were a betting man, I would bet that CRZ didn't quit just over Bischoff. I'm sure he could make a long list of reasons why he quit, and Bischoff would just be one bullet point at the end of the list. Bottomline, at least my guess, is that CRZ is simply just not enjoying the product, and thus not enjoying running the site any longer.

And my gosh, this site and recapping is WAY too much work if it's not fun. Anybody who's ever tried their hand at recapping knows what I'm talking about. When I was messing around with creating a website, I started a wrestling for a little while, and tried to do a recap. The amount of work it takes to recap a two hour show is crazy. My first one or two was somewhat detailed, and that seemed to take forever. Once I realized that there was no way I was ever going to do one as good as CRZ, I changed up the format and tried to do a half-assed one with a gimmick of my own. But even that took way too much work. The fact that CRZ did a recap that was as detailed and complete as it was, and usually posted in a very timely manner, is just insane!

My hats off to you, CRZ! You are indeed the best recapper there is, there was, and there ever will be! May you forever be...walking!

[jaw drops when reminded of reality - no one looks at those links at the bottom of the page (that explains the lack of feedback!)]

TheCubsFan - Click Here
Seadawg - Click Here - you'll figure it out
Jim Ross Jr. - nothing? Just a hotmail address, if I do recall.
Brewguy - um, I forget! Actually I think I'm thinking of ITVR but I don't think if that's right. It's not really the link in his profile (where all these other things could've been found), is it?
cfgb - Click Here

Maybe I didn't make myself clear.

While I'm glad that some of the contributors have their own sites and boards, I'm sure they've recieved more attention by their addition to Slash. I think if you were going to end it all, a bit of common courtesy would have been nice:

"Guys, the whole thing sucks too bad. I'll give you a week, and then I'm shutting down. Thanks for the support."

But now there's just a big black page. [I know someone's posted a link to an earlier version, but that's not the point]

Look, I'm not so obtuse that I can't see the absurdity of all this, but is this how it ends?

And I'm sure Z is lurking around somewhere giggling to himself at all the hubbub.

Once again I have to ask the question: Was it really that bad?

Holy crap!!! 118 posts in less than 48 hours? Whoops 119 now.

We're all assuming he went dark because of Bischoff. While there's evidence to support that...has anyone heard anything from him?

Hey...the site just had a third anniversary...maybe he used the obvious as a handy excuse to blank the site in readiness for version 3.0?

Maybe he just had hand cramps from all the re-capping and wanted to drive us nuts.

The point is...if he's really done and this is the way it ends...it's because he wanted it that way and no amount of teeth gnashing by us is going to change it. More power to you Zed, and I'll miss the recaps.

If he's not really done, we'll know in a short while I'm sure. I'm just glad we've still got the board...if that goes away, I'll be stuck as a male Valet forever...brrrrr.
