And may I humbly plead that even if slash goes, please will you leave weinerville up? Even if the WWE product sucks to high heaven, weinerville is still the best and most reasonable place to discuss graps. .

The link to Slash Wrestling that was on his homepage www.crz.net is gone too. I think this is for real.
That is a new development. After seeing the black Good Night at Slash, I went to CRZ.net and the [slash]wrestling links were still there.
I hope for the best, yet I fear the worst.
CRZ, you don't owe anyone here anything, but we all hope you don't hang it up for good. If, however, you decide that the time has come to end it, as Qubber has said, Thank You for all the work you did.

I can still link directly to my guest columns, so the site is definately still there. It's just the home page that's been "eliminated".

| #30 Posted on 16.7.02 0953.04 | Jeebus, if CRZ quits, where in the hell can you get a decent recap on the Internet? Surely not from Scott "Everything Is Horrible" Keith, and the guy on the Torch is Scott Keith without the sense of humor. Then you've got the other guy on 411wrestling who writes shit like: "an then BOOKER T tole Godlust he was a SUCKA! OMG! LOLOLOL! HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA! that was a realy good segmnt.". John Petrie only write poety now. It's not worth even going into 1wrestling.com anymore, and the Wrestling Observer just bothers me.

| #35 Posted on 16.7.02 1107.10 | When Bischoff showed up, my friend Rick turned to me and said "So, are you bringing over the Dreamcast with Fire Pro next Monday night?"
Halfway through Bischoff's promo, I wished I'd brought it with me THEN.
Go back and read some of those WCW recaps from 1999-2001. Just _editing_ them for the Year in Quotes was enough to scare me, and I didn't watch the entire product for those years and recap it in detail the way CRZ did. Seeing McMahon symbolically throw the switch and present Monday Night Thunder by handing the keys to Bischoff... THAT could easily cause a fade-to-black moment. Perhaps therapy. Perhaps a shopping-mall shooting spree.
If the lights come back on and recaps resume, it will be a good thing. If the blackness continues until morale improves, can we blame CRZ? He quit recapping Thunder once before, and he was justified then, too.

| #38 Posted on 16.7.02 1133.25 | I love Slash. CRZ's a swell guy and has always posted my stupid columns. His recaps are hilarious and well-put.
BUT...
I hope he doesn't re-open the site. To me, it would suck if he re-opens everything in a couple of days. I've always admired him for starting a non-commercial site just because he was a FAN, but I think that same sensibility and integrity are what has prompted him to stop producing the site. He's totally justified, and he's making a damn fine statement with his black screen. I'm bummed he's gone...but I'd be more bummed to see him come back. For his own sanity, for our good, for the good of wrestling, for the Internet "community"...whatever. His leaving shows that the hammer has finally fallen.
I hope next Monday he gets off the couch about five minutes before Raw, shuts of the light, and goes out for a beer. With friends. With women. With anyone but a wrestling fan and leave this all behind. I like that image.
