I was really disappointed- it was supposed to be the GREAT season premiere with special appearances by Foley, Austin and Hogan. But what did we get instead? A really stupid rolling piece of crap of a musical intro, some crappy 2-minute interviews and a tranquilizer gun... (You can say I worry too much, but I have a feeling getting shot in the spine isnt good for you...)
-Mick Foley's interview was good, except he is one I feel could have been there in person.
- Austin, what the hell hapenned to you? Did you disfigure your chin?
-Hogan; was only mentioned throughout the show as "Hollywood" Hogan (as someone else on this thread pointed out)- I guess Marvel got its way with the whole copyrights issue... Edge is the "future of our business"? Oh well, I guess Paul London(hells yeah!) and Shelton Benjamin are just hopeless fools...
-UNDERTAKER; All through his match, all I could keep thinking was "Damn, Undertaker's gotten old..." Do I really need to say anything else? Its like his stamina was badly failing worse than anything Ive seen, but he was trying hard to hit all his spots with the same energy as always (to less and less avail as the match went on).
London is becoming greater with every week, hopefully Vince will take notice.
Guerrero and Angle are great in the ring as always, but it all had to end with Big Show going bald (It was already happening anyway).
If someone asked me to rate this episode out of 10...
...I would make a questionable remark about their momma, but thats another story.
HULK: "Which one of you smart-asses gave me this rubber t-shirt, Brother?!"
Actually, Kawshen, Rock jobbing to Triple H was not only not pointless but also rather necessary for the WWF's future at that point. It's all explained in my last Being the Bookerman column (link below! go read it now! *thumbs up*)
