Breaking down the probable Rumble participents by MoeGates' categories:
1. The main eventers who have a shot at winning-Triple H, Kurt Angle, Steve Austin, Undertaker
2. The new returnees- Golddust, Mr. Perfect, Val Venis, Godfather, Nash(?)
3. The celebreties/gag players-
4. The "Diesel Push" guy- Probably Test.
This gives us 9 important guys, IF Nash even participates.
However, there are usually other storylines within the Rumble match. For example, the Hardy's fighting each other and eliminating each other last year. You also forgot each year's "ironman" as a guy that matters.
I never thought I would say this...but I hope the Green Bay Packers win the Super Bowl.
Somehow I place Goldust and Mr. Perfect under the celebrities, Just there for a quick pop (hmm..that sounds more like Val Venis actually *blink*) and then back to where they came from. I expect to see DDP or some other WCW/Alliance guy to be amongst the returnees and do rather well. They have to have these guys on our tv at some point..
Also very probable; some Alliance guy pulling out an established name so that we he can return on tv in a feud.
Imagine this is some funny signature. Then I will imagine you compliment me on it.
If you've seen the Royal Rumble promo on Jakked, Goldust actually gets in the second row of their pyramid scheme, right next to Steve Austin. Triple H is in front of course, and the rest occupy the third and fourth row.
What about RVD and Booker, neither one of them will probably win it but I bet they will both play an important role. RVD maybe being the iron man guy and Booker T maybe eliminating someone important like Austin.
Also after the ending of Smackdown they are trying to make Kane and Big Show look important too.
But that's still only 12 important guys, 13 if Nash is there.
I'd defy you to name anybody who DID look impressive at UPW in 2000 who wasn't Chris Daniels or Mikey Henderson. Also keep in mind, that was essentially his rookie year in the business. Essentially, Joe's a natural.
