| #1 Posted on 21.1.02 1059.15 | Well since I'm poor and can't afford to get ppvs, I had to settle for watching the Golden Globe awards. Anybody else see them?
I was glad that Jennifer Connelly won since she's my favorite actress, but was upset that Reese Witherspoon didn't win. THen again her performance in Legally Blonde was up against Nicole Kidman in Moulin Rouge. Legally Blonde? Moulin Rouge? In the same category? What's up with that??
Also i just loved how when Sarah Jessica Parker won an award for that trashy, slutty, piece of crap Sex in the City, she then dedicated it to New York City. What a "classy" move Sarah.
I'm a slut!! Thank you New York!!

| #3 Posted on 21.1.02 1643.25 | It was good to see Jim Broadbent pick up the best supporting actor award for 'Iris', though I would ahve preferred Billy Bob Thornton over Russell Crowe for his performance in 'The Man Who Wasn't There' for the best actor gong, but if they had allowed 'Bloody Sunday'to be entered, James Nesbitt would have been a lock for it.
It was also nice to see Kidman get the nod for one of the Best Actress awards, though I would hagve preferred to have seen hewr win it for 'The Others' over 'Moulin Rouge' (Musicals..euugh)

| #5 Posted on 23.1.02 1251.28 | Jennifer Connally is your favorite actress? While Jennifer Connally certainly is quite high up in my "favorite actresses I like to see naked and kissing other actresses I like to see naked" rankings, I wouldn't really say she's my favorite "just plain old actress." I mean, she's been in like 5 movies (not counting Labyrinth of course). And in at least three of them (Mulholland Drive, Higher Learning, and the Hot Spot) the only redeeming feature of the movie was her being naked and/or kissing other A.I.L.T.S.N.'s.

| #6 Posted on 23.1.02 1331.56 | True, she doesn't have a long list of big hits or anything but there aren't any actresses who have to me. Other than Julia Roberts I can't think of any actress that has been in more than 2 good movies. Truth is Requiem for a Dream and The Beautiful Mind are better than any two movies anyone else has been in.

Jennifer Connelly starred in my favorite, and quite possibly the coolest movie of all time, Dark City. That movie is so deliriously underrated it's almost scary.

| #8 Posted on 24.1.02 0806.39 | | "Dark City" was the best-looking crap movie I've ever seen. The visuals on that were ultra-cool, but Keiffer Sutherland doing a very bad Igor impersonation rubbed me the wrong way. Of course, I saw the movie at about 2 in the morning and I was very tired, so that might have skewed my opinion somewhat. I'll have to try and catch that again for free sometime. | Omar Padilla
