I haven't seen House of Lies, but it's good to see Don Cheadle continuing to get recognition. He's one of the most underrated actors of our generation, I think. (Feels strange to say that about someone who's been nominated for Best Actor at the Academy Awards and co-won a SAG Award for Best Cast in a Motion Picture, but I think it's true).
"Y'know, it has been a year since the last [Royal Rumble], I'm very sketchy on this, so bear with me here. If I Brogue Kick that small little head of yours over the top rope, and your body stays in the ring, tell me, fella, does that count as an elimination?" --Sheamus, to Randy Orton, SmackDown 1/4/13

House Of Lies is pretty mediocre, which kills me since I so want to like a show with Cheadle, Kristen Bell and Jean-Ralphio in the cast.
Perhaps the real winners of the Globes were Fey & Poehler, who absolutely killed their hosting duties.
"It breaks your heart. It is designed to break your heart. The game begins in the spring, when everything else begins again, and it blossoms in the summer, filling the afternoons and evenings, and then as soon as the chill rains come, it stops and leaves you to face the fall alone." --- Bart Giamatti, on baseball
It's possible Widmore encountered the Monster during his time on the island, but never encountered it in anything other than its primitive smoke form. Having it suddenly be able to walk, talk and look like Locke was certainly new to ol' Charlie.
