*** If this thread has been done alreasy, I apologize in advance.

I guess it is almost a foregone conclusion that Goldb erg will walk out of the ring with the strap on Sunday after he beats HHH. But then what? Who is next for Goldberg? Look at the roster and there seems to be no one worthy of taking on Goldberg:

Jericho - already fought and lost to Goldberg in is possibly in the midst of a feud with Christuan and a face turn

Christian - IC Champ.

RVD - Possible IC Champ and/or a feud with Christian/Y2J

HHH - Hurt and out for a while

Orton - I hope not as I see the continuation of his feud with HBK

HBK - See Orton

Kane - Maybe, but then whoever loses gets the big time drag on their momentum.

Nash - Please and he is hurt.

Flair - Already fought and lost to Goldberg

Batista - Not this early in his comeback.

Booker T - Will be in the IC hunt when he comes back

Dudleys, Test, Steiner, Mack, Golddust, Storm, Maven, Rico, the Frenchies, Rosey, Hurricane, Val Venis - Not in the ME spotlight and if they fought Goldberg it would be a squash.

So, really, the only option is Kane at this point, which menas Kane would have to destroy Shane on Sunday.

Personally, as much as I hate HHH, I would rather see him win, get Goldberg out of the WWE, and move onto a feud with a face turned Jericho and drop the strap to him at the next PPV. But that will never happen.

So who do you think Goldberg's next opponent should be and why?

Inigo Montoya: Who are you?

Westley: No one of consequence.

Inigo Montoya: I must know...

Westley: Get used to disappointment.

Inigo Montoya: 'kay.

It'll be Kane.

Next month is a Smackdown only ppv, during which time Goldberg will fart around with Evolution some more, but as we prepare for Survivor Series, it's clear they're headed for Goldberg vs. Kane in a battle of "unstoppable monsters."

Goldberg will go over Kane unless his title run turns out to be a flop. I suspect Goldberg's title run will be well-received. Everyone, not just the smarks, is weary of the HHH title run.

After Kane, Goldberg and Jericho will feud (Goldberg will retain), then it will be time to put the belt back on HHH at No Way Out, just in time for HHH to wrestle The Rock at Wrestlemania.

Goldberg will be midcard fodder by spring 2004, and HHH will be champ for most of next year, burying (and reburying) Randy Orton, Maven, Hurricane, Jericho, Booker T, Kane, and RVD.

I'm not a Goldberg fan or anything, but at this point I'll take him over HHH.

Look at the roster and there seems to be no one worthy of taking on Goldberg:

You could say the same about HHH. Kane is probably next up for Goldberg (and, wow, those are gonna be some exciting matches), as I can't imagine they'd drag out this inane Shane/Kane feud any longer.

It'll be interesting to see how ratings react w/ Goldberg as champ. If the go up & stay up, HHH is going to have a tough time convincing Vince he "deserves" to win back the belt.

I second Spiff's sentiments. Goldberg has a ton of potential opponents compared to HHH, including but not limited to Jericho, Kane, van Dam, Orton, HBK and maybe even Booker. HHH has....Jericho. That's it. And I'd rtaher not see yet another humiliating feud for Chris, considering he seems to be gathering a fair ol' slew of momentum as Raw's MVP at the moment.

I also think that, given the large time between now and SurSer, the vaunted plans of 'Berg dropping the strap back to H will change a hundred times before then. Given Hunter's sudden ascension to future movie star status, I wouldn't be surprised if he stopped giving as much a of a shit about holding a fake title as he does now. We can only hope.

I'd say Kane as well, but I do think RAW needs one more monster heel.

I think the plan should be for Kane to beat Goldberg underhandedly at Survivor Series. I think I've probably pitched this idea before, but anyway, it works out regardless of how Goldberg is received...

Option A: Goldberg's title run stinks and they need to get the title off him. Might as well feed him to Kane, since a Goldberg who can't carry the ball as champion is pretty worthless at the money he's making. Plus ya build Kane up even more.

Option B: Goldberg's title run is working, but after two months he gets robbed, maybe even by Evolution. This sets up an almost Austin-esque situation where Bischoff can decree that Goldberg gets no title shot unless he wins the Rumble. An interim feud with whoever cost him the title at Armageddon leads into a Rumble win (has to be a Raw guy, Smackdown has No Way Out) leads into a huge showdown with Kane at WrestleMania that's four months in the making.

Then again, the rumour making the rounds is that HHH gets a rematch at Survivor Series, so...

Why not take advantage of the huge return pops that William Regal is bound to receive and let him shoot on Goldberg again, this time taking the title?

This whole "Triple H doesn't have any suitable opponents anymore" arguement is total bullshit.

They want to have a credible challenger, even if it's someone he's already beateN? It's simply, have that chose opponent go over everyone, an BAM! you've got your viable title contender.

Remember, no one's career is dead until it's over.

To make Goldberg's title run succesful, they should actually use him to rub other workers, so they too can be viable contenders later on. He'd win of course, but a couple of guys would start to learn how to poke through Goldberg's defense and offense. That guy should be Test.

I'll be first in line with my wallet out to watch a William Regal title run. Why fear the spear when you've got the power of the punch?

Test better be able to generate some kind of heat before then. As it stands right now, crowds are totally apathetic towards Test whenever Stacy isn't around.

The freshly married Triple H will be back in time for Survivor Series to collect on his wedding present. His vanity belt and another pinfall over Goldberg.

I am not 100% sure what you mean but if you mean 'hey the ramp was to the right while usually it is to the left' then I can tell you that they did have that before. I am never sure why but I guess it just depends on the arena.
