| #1 Posted on 8.4.03 1548.12 | This is the kind of guy William is according to 1 wrestling:
Goldberg is selling the black t-shirt that he wore Monday, March 31, for his WWE debut. He signed and dated the black shirt in silver. He also wrote WWE on the shirt. All proceeds from the sale will be donated to ARF (Animal Rescue Foundation).
His work in charitable organization is just above leaps and bound.I am proud professional wrestling has him as a representative.
God bless you Goldberg

Yeah, I can't follow your logic here. It's not like refusing the pizza, it's just admitting that the pizza would be better if it didn't have the darn olives on it. This whole thread seems to be about giving him a verbal BJ because he donated some money. And actually, he didn't even donate any money! He donated the money that a fan gave him for a shirt he wore! The point is, the guy's not the freaking messiah, what's the point in acting like it?

| #13 Posted on 9.4.03 0704.32 | You see, this is what you get when you try to post something nice. Good news apparently ISN'T news, because what fun is a thread where people just keep posting "yea, he's a good guy". We're so accustomed to bitching that we can't accept a nice thread who's topic is a nice deed somebody did. Sad, but it's true.

| #14 Posted on 9.4.03 0712.25 | Hey..I'll speak up and say that I believe it is a good thing to do. I am sure many many other folks auction things of for charities, both famous and non-famous and that is all good.
Btw, I always thought it was something really cool about American sportsplayers that they always are actively involved with charities. Teams adopt a cause, players adopt them. Very nice. WWE does charity work too, as far as I know, they just don't always tell about it.
the fact that Goldberg auctions of a shirt and gives the money to a charity doesn't mean by the way that he never gives his own money away either. It's just an extra bonus, and for an extra good cause to bid on the item. Would you pay your money if someone said 'buy this shirt so I can buy a new dvd player?'
Goldberg has been doing alot of this stuff over the years, he is one of the few wrestlers that I read that actively do fundraisers and such. Maybe his stuff is more in the picture because it was never under the name of a promotion up until now? Anyhoo..kudos to the man, kudos to the hardy4fr person that won, really nice..

Exactly. If all it take to be "Da Man!" is to do some charity work, I think Hogan would have Goldberg beat in that department. Also, last year Macho Man donated a large amount of money (probably more than some fan is paying for a shirt) to charity after Hogan did not accept his challenge. | CRZ
