I don't share the same thoughts as you on most topics, but you hit the nail on the F#@!ing head with this!

I can't see them releasing Goldberg without the match they wanted from him, unless he goes super spazz backstage and injures someone by throwing them head first into a soda or candy machine.

If they job him till he quits, please have him lose to Steven Richards!

Hey, if someone with a Germanic-sounding name like VON ERICH can get over in Israel, God knows GOLDBERG could. If the WWE played up his Jewish ethnicity, he could generate a ton of cash for the WWE.

Maybe if WWE actually made a commitment to Goldberg and actually tried to make money with him instead of treating him like every other guy on the roster, then he wouldn't be a disappointment. I mean, it is like everyone else, WWE builds them up before they debut, then 2 weeks later, they treat them like all the other people on the roster but they expect for the new guys to be over. HOW? Automatically? If WWE doesn't presnet them as someone special, the crowd isn't going to respect them either. If anything Goldberg is not the disappointment, WWE is, again.

No matter who they bring in, it is the same thing. Sting can come in, Jeff Jarrett can come back, it doesn't matter. WWE has no idea how to promote and commit to new, big name talent.

If Goldberg ends up being gone by Summerslam, Booker takes the title instead. The theory I've heard repeatedly was that he would get it at WM but when they managed to get the Goldberg deal done they changed it so that they could do the HHH/Goldberg showdown. If that's no longer an option, Booker makes sense. It would also explain why they didn't put the IC strap on Booker last night but got out of the match without him getting beat by a midcarder, since apparently the Goldberg problems really heated up yesterday before the show.

(Image in question.)

Actually, it doesn't say "(The rea...)". It says "www.wwe.com (Rea...". As in, read-only. It kind of adds to the ambiguity of the screencap. Sure, it could be faked. But then again, if it's read-only, doesn't mean they did fake it either. I don't know if you could read much into the title, but the fact that there's a Word document open with that title is pretty damning.

I could'nt agree more dskillz. Going all the way back to the demise and purchase of WCW Vince and Co. have done nothing but botch every sure shot angle involving high priced free agent talent. I mean RVD,Booker T, The nWo,Steiner, the whole damn WCW roster, hell you could even go back a few years and add Y2J,Eddie Gurrero, and Benoit to the long list of wasted mis-used talent. And suprise, suprise.. the only guys to get a decent angle since theyve returned to the former WWF are Hogan and Piper, two WWF icons. It would not suprise me if Vince brought in Goldberg just to drop him before he even gets off the ground, just to beat his chest and prove to the world just how inferior WCW was. Sometimes I so wish that it was the other way around and WCW was the one still around, afterall, who does it seem everyone is always waiting to show up at a WWE event? FORMER WCW TALENT.And the post mortem bashing of WCW doesnt stop there. Everything from Confidential to JR's pathetic lil' cookbook are a smear campaign against Turner and the company that ironically helped keep wrestling alive long enough for the WWF to rebuild, and now that its not around anymore the lack of solid competition has given us this sad product. Now I'm not saying that WCW used talent any better but who knows, if the finances and commitment woulda' been there, maybe it would be crazy Ted beating his chest. Hell even in the state of chaos that WCW was in they even realised that it was a simple formula when it came to a guy like Goldberg,he's the monster babyface, indestructable and the top guy in the company. In the WWE he's just like dskillz mentioned, another guy. Sure he gets his wins, most notably against the Rock, but so far he's a 2nd or 3rd babyface on RAW. I say it has to do more w/ ignorance and ego on Vinces and the WWE's part than anything to do w/ Goldberg not being a top draw. Please Sting, you have been and always be my favorite wrestler. Stay as far away from the WWE as you can, they won't give you a send off, so much as a send up.

Plus the fact that the 'I' in Inc wasn't capitalized ... made the screen shot look like elite haX0r talk...

Sad thing is, I think people DID want to see it. But, WWE has actually turned me off of the match. They've completley buried Goldberg as a monster, and made Brock Lesnar the smiling babyface. So who care who's more dominant, anymore?

That was a good call though, Omega. Keep them away from each other so there's no risk of Lesnar getting a "Bret Hart Special".

It's just you against the group mind.

I noticed that Ring of Honor is having a DVD sale (woohoo) and given the attention they've been getting as a great alternative to the WWE, I want to pick one up.
