I'm guessing he won't make it to summerslam. How long do you think he will last?

After Raw Monday?

a week?

a month?

After HHH knocks Goldberg out at Summerslam?

Armageddon?

10-28-03?

At this point I think Goldberg might be up for a screwjob loss to HHH at SummerSlam, and then a definitive loss to HHH at the September RAW PPV.

And once again, Triple H is still champ. Sigh.

Over 1400 posts and still never a Wiener of the Day!

Well you're in your little room
and you're working on something good
but if it's really good
you're gonna need a bigger room
and when you're in the bigger room
you might not know what to do
you might have to think of
how you got started in your little room

Hyatte and the rest of 411 say that Goldberg may have been axed tonight.

...keep in mind that this IS Hyatte and 411.

This looks legit to me, but it's very interesting that WWE.com would post this and remove it minutes later.

Stay tuned, fans. If Goldberg gets axed, Summerslam could become very interesting. It would mean the proposed Raw main event would change from HHH vs. Goldberg to...

1) HHH vs. Mick Foley

-or-

2) HHH vs. Kevin Nash...Part 3

What is Mattitude?
Utilizing the belief system and work ethic (Mattributes) of THE Matt Hardy to create a better life for yourself by fulfilling your goals and dreams. Or they could always jump Benoit or even Big Show over to RAW to build as a face.

But they'll probably just have HHH-HBK again.

Dubious. It would have been nice if the "Headlines" bar wasn't all black...but, then we might also have seen a date in there.

It's also a little strange to see so many of SATURDAY'S stories on that graphic, assuming it's purported to have been put up tonight after Bad Blood.

Methinks it's more of a gullibility check to see if any other site will pick it up as "newz." It's not like 411's a bastion of credibility, though, so what's the harm?

LET ME HOLLA AT YA PLAYA!

Well, I can buy the Saturday stories running at the point the snapshot was taken. Of the 15.6 stories running now...

* HBK crying about short match
* Dupree's destiny
* Moolah Match?
* Foley's Book
* Father's Day

...I would HOPE that the Bad Blood results were up first. Plus, according to Hyatte, the reader took the picture shortly after the PPV. Now, I don't know how old the poll or link to Yoko's video is, but it's a nice touch if this IS fake.

The "headline" banner bar may be the most telling thing. But who knows if it may show up different on different versions of IE.

(ETA: It's less of being gullible and more of a "if you wish for something hard enough and your heart is pure your wish will come true"-ism)

If its true (and its extremely doubtful), it means for the first time ever Linda McMahon actually was able to accomplish something positive during the spin the quarterly loss session. And it also means we have officially found the second coming of the Warrior. All I hope is that Kate Smith, Bob Goulet, and Jim Nabors were correct, and to Dream the Impossible Dream can come true.

I think they'll get their one big match with Goldberg v. Triple H at SummerSlam, and then shunt him down the card not unlike Scott Steiner. And they'll keep him there until, either his contract expires or until he offers to leave.

Remember when WWF treated RVD like the main-event star he is?
Neither do I.

For whatever it's worth, Goldberg references are still on WWE.com, including the roster list (usually if references suddenly disappear, that's a sure bet that somebody got canned). So I'm pretty sure he's still with the company.

I think OMEGA has it pretty much right, Goldberg is signed for a year so he will probably stay in some capacity with the company for a year. If you are going to pay him, you may as well use him, unless you think he is actually chasing fans away.

(Edit: Well, after a quick check, I see that references to Jamal are also still on WWE.com.)

2 things I noticed on this lovely little fake screencap...

-There's a Word Document in the toolbar at the bottom that says "www.wwe.com (The rea...".

-He's listening to "The Touch" by Stan Bush. That just cracks me up.

Assuming the WWE can afford Goldberg's contract and assuming that things between Goldberg & WWE have gotten REAL bad, do you know what I'd do?

I'd package together a bunch of "best of" Goldberg DVDs/VHS tapes, dub them in Hebrew, and send him off to Israel. I'll bet you could make a ton of cash off of Goldberg products in Israel. Plus, it would let things cool down in the WWE between the company and Goldberg and increase the WWE's popularity in a foreign market.

To me, this makes more sense than just severing ties or jobbing him out of spite.

In Israel???

Why do you say that? Has that always been a fanbase for him?

Reason I ask, as someone who's Jewish myself, had never heard he was particularly popular there.

Obviously, you'd think that if the WWE could promote a Jewish star in Israel. This is just common sense.

If Goldberg was a badass Arab (Ali bin Goldberg?) you'd think he could sell a ton of merchandise in Kuwait and Jordan. If Goldberg was from of Indian heritage (Mohattma Goldberg?) you'd think that he'd have huge profit-potential in India.

I have no idea how popular Goldberg is in Israel (or how popular the WWE is in Kuwait, Jordan, and India) but despite all its faults, you have to think that the WWE still knows basic promotion. If they can't promote Golderg in Israel....well, I don't even know how to finish that thought, but you might want to sell off your WWE stock.

Only American wrestlers I remember being over in Israel were the Von Erich brothers, as that was one of the markets World Class syndicated to (Texas, Boston, and Israel: extremely curious marketing strategy).

I couldn't disagree more with your theory. Bill Goldberg is from Oklahoma, not Israel. It's not like Flair being over in North Carolina, or Test being over in Canada (well, in theory at least).... just because he is the same religion as a majority of people in the country does not a connection make.

I'm not saying he is or isn't popular in Israel (I just don't know; never heard much about that one way or another); I just think the theory is completely flawed.

If they had a house show in, say, Tel Aviv (the special War-Torn Revenge Tour), would Goldberg get more cheers than, say, RVD? Probably, yeah. But marketing a DVD to that country and ``dubbing it in Hebrew'' as you say.... not really a moneymaker. Frankly, they could probably do decent business doing a DVD here in North America.
