That'd be about when it switched to that name from the NWA....

| #9 Posted on 2.1.03 1520.16 | If Goldberg speared Maury, hit him with the jackhammer, and then roared at the camera, I would have watched. (And hopefully it would have *really* hurt Povich and his nasty, white and black-trash-exploiting ass would be gone forever.)

Funny how Billy has no problem going on such a quality day time show, but finds Vince's product morally repulsive. Oh wait, Billy's a hypocrite. Never mind.

| #11 Posted on 3.1.03 1407.02 | Hold on, Bill went on the show to make the day of a special child. It's one thing to not like the guy but at least don't condemn him for doing a good deed.
From pwtorch.com:
"-Bill Goldberg appeared on yesterday's "Maury Povich Show" yesterday. Torch Team Contributor Mallory Mahling filed the following report: The Maury Povich New Year's Day show was all about making New Year's wishes come true for some special children, such as Christina, a pretty 10-year-old girl who suffers from severe eczema. Maury had discovered she is a big wrestling fan who lists Goldberg and the Rock among her favorites. WWE sent the girl an enormous goodie basket of autographed photos, merchandise and other surprises. But Maury had one more surprise for her. It was none other than Goldberg himself, who came out to a pretty good pop from the crowd (he teasingly chided the audience for not clapping loud enough). Goldberg said he was sorry he didn't work work for WWE (since they'd provided the goodie basket), but his mere presence had the little girl smiling and crying at the same time. Maury put over Goldberg's Japanese wrestling career, as well as the fact that he's now dabbling in acting. He was extremely gracious (big old teddy bear came to mind) and said he was glad Maury had given him the opportunity to meet one of his heroes. He also mentioned his work with the National Humane Society, which led to the icing on the cake when he presented the youngster with a Pomeranian puppy, which she promptly named "Goldie." It was a truly heartwarming appearance." | deadbeater3
