Ok, we all know that the match between Brock Lesnar vs Bill Goldberg at WMXX could be the last main event of Goldberg in the WWE...
But what exactly is supossed to happen?
This is what i think...
Scenario A: Goldberg leaves as a Winner...
Golberg wins at WMXX and leaves the WWE as a complete Winner... i mean... if this Happen, Bill can get in his record three major victories against3 of the biggest champs in Raw and Smackdown history... That's 1)The Rock in his debut at WWE 2)HHH To Win Raw Tittle 3)and Brock Lesnar Smackdown's Rising Star
This scenario its pretty weird... because leaves Goldberg as an indisputed Winner ... How can we interpratate this if he leaves? As a way yo leave an open door for a future comeback to the WWE in few months? Only time could tell that...
Scenario B: Goldberg leaves as a Loser (probably as a loser with a major injury to avoid explanations)
If Goldberg fails in his so called "last match in WWE" against Lesnar... maybe the WWE can justify his release as a result of a major Injury in the match against Brock... this could be a Fast scape to release Goldberg without give any explanation tabout why WWE DONT want to give a renovation contract to Goldberg...
Why do you think?
Cheers
Wagner jr

| #3 Posted on 18.2.04 0553.43 | I am pretty sure that Brock will beat Goldberg clean, and there will be not much explanation afterwards. The WWE didn't really make Goldberg interesting ever since his debut, so they will be happy he is gone.
By the way, if they will do their usual kicking-out-of-each-others-finishers stuff again, I am not familiar with Goldberg in WCW, but did anyone ever kick out of the jackhammer?

Just thinking about how Goldberg escaped custody as well IMO, Heyman let him go and interfere because Vince told Bisch that if Goldberg interfered then Bisch would be fired. I smell a GM battle at WM (cool if Vince was into it as well)

(After the slight weakening of that position with the Bob Holly storyline & the loss to Eddie, a little extra boost will be in order.)
And if Vince opts to toss in a little bit of "NYC screwjob" on Bill, I'll be an extra-happy girl. :-)

I smell that too, unfortunately. Vince, please, you do not need to wrestle. There's plenty of good stuff going on already. You can be on the show -- there's plenty of things you could do to stir things up, so's you can be on the DVD for all posterity. But you do not need to wrestle. Nor does the show need a GM feud. Or an announcer feud. It's the biggest show of the year, you've been selling it for a year. You've done more planning & setup for this show than for any other in ages. Focus on the talent doing what they're best at. Please, Vince, don't wrestle.

Ok, ok...I know his bigger limitations, he aint have a good amount of charisma... he doesnt make it well in microphone... and he have a limited signature move repertory... but i still like Bill Goldberg matches...
The Feud with triple H... specially the road before the match at the Elimination chamber... was kind good... better than much of the latest feuds in WWE...
The inaugural match against The Rock ... was pretty good... and the Mini Feud with Brock Lesnar are cool too ... Id like to think that the whole problem with Goldberg and the WWE its about the number of zeros in his paycheck...
Did you notice that goldberg never played "Heel" in his actual run in the WWE? I think that even if he go for a while he can come back and give a lot of good storys...
cheers

Since he's going to lose, I think we see Brock flip out, and injury him very badly, and they'll try to turn brock into more of a pyshco heel, and less of a pussy (hopefully).
This really bothers me though because you had Goldberg set up to have his last match at Mania, and had you left the RaW Title on him, and turned him heel this past couple of months, you would have a perfect opportunity to put a guy like Benoit over Goldberg, winning the unwinnable match, and Goldberg can go out clean, and not worry about damaging his character, because it will be his last match.
A missed opportunity in my book.

| #11 Posted on 19.2.04 1451.26 | Instant Rating: 6.00 | I think Brock/Goldberg will be awesome. I think Brock wins, just because other than Orton, I don't see many heels winning at Mania 20. Goldberg will re-sign, and chase Brock to Smackdown. He will have fresh, exciting matches with Angle, Cena, Eddie, and finally win the title from Brock either at Summerslam or Mania. I really don't think the Goldberg will leave. He is more over than most of the faces on either show, and fans still will pay to see him or buy his shirts. Maybe the ratings and buyrates haven't gone up much since he came in, but I'd still say he is easily worth resigning. And since the numbers didn't change as much, he won't be able to command such a huge salary. Sure, he could go to Japan and wrestle less for more, but the exposure that makes him the star he is comes from America. Down the road, if Austin is at all healthy, and wrestling has a little boom, there is a HUGE match, and HUGE money to be had. I don't buy reports that Goldberg hates wrestling either. Keep the guy. He hasn't hurt anything since he showed up, and he is over.

I've heard some on this board ask about whether WM will have that one memorable moment that they show from year to year...Austin stunning (or is it stunnering, I never knew...) Goldberg could very well be it. Besides, you know that has to happen at some point before Goldberg leaves.
