I wasn't expecting this to reinvent the comedy wheel or anything, but my God, was this BORING! The problem isn't even so much that it isn't funny, but it's just so dull! There's potential in Matthew Perry as a Colin Cowherd-type sports talk radio douchebag, but they barely do anything worthwhile with it.
And worse yet, the show's boring AND preachy! Don't text and drive, folks!
It's a thumbs down for me. I give this four episodes before it's canned. Matthew Perry is still awesome, but at this point, he needs to fire his agent.
I didn't hate it. Matthew Perry was being Matthew Perry, which is pretty much what I expect when I find out a show or movie stars...Matthew Perry. I kind of enjoy Matthew Perry doing Matthew Perry things, so it was okay. Pilots, to me, are such useless measures for what a show will eventually become. There was a LOT of rushing here, to try and introduce all the characters and elements in one shot. I'll at least give it a chance to get better.
"Never piss off a hawk with a blowgun" - Conan O'Brien
It was better than I expected (not that I expected anything great). The sequence where he organizes a "tournament" of suffering really made me laugh. The rest, just some chuckles.
You would think that with 455 DVDs being released and a pale imitation of the show being broadcast on network, well FOX, television, that this show would be out on DVD.
