Okay. It's only midway through the second half and considering how IU came back versus Duke, it might be premature to get giddy.
BUT
Final Four! For the first time since Minneapolis and the Bob Knight-Calbert Chaney bullwhip controversey.
"The best reason for committing loathsome & detestable acts -and let's face it, I am considerably something of an expert in the field - is purely for their own sake. Monetary gain is all very well, but it dilutes the tastes of wickedness to a lower level that is obtainable by anyone will an overdeveloped sense of avarice. True and baseless evil is as rare as the purest good - and we all know how rare THAT is." - Acheron Hades, THE EYRE AFFAIR by Jaspar Fforde
I remember back a few months ago when IU made 17 3's against my Illini. It was heartbreaking, every time we came back, they'd hit another one. I thought it was probably a one time thing. Then I watch the game last night and see them hit their first 8, and 15 of 19. Unbelievable. Welcome to the Final Four, IU.

That was one of the most amazing things I've ever seen watching that game. I was rooting for Kent State (gotta root for the dog!), but damn if I wasn't impressed by that IU team. I'd love to see Mike Davis take them all the way and put the final nail into the Knight coffin.

I was there in person (free tickets no less!!!) and felt the same way. I really didn't care who won as long as I got to see a good game. Not all that I hoped for, but still an enjoyable experience for my first live NCAA tourney game.
Too bad I didn't get the Thursday night tix my stepfather and brother enjoyed tho. To see Duke squirm in person would have been joyous.
Loved seeing those Dookies lose - it's good for their "humility".......and now that my pools have all self destructed and I can win no fame, glory or $$$ - I have to admit I would like to see the Hoosiers do it just to face Booby Knight

I'm at the crossroads -- root with my heart (IU) or wallet (KU).
I actually had KU vs OU on my bracket, so I'm very much alive.
But I certainly want my alma mater to win, even if it costs me money.

WHOO! Hail to old IU, I say. Two more wins, and everybody will be going, “Who in the blue hell is Bobby Knight?”
As it stands, I'm proud to root for a team that has a classy coach, and one who can actually look happy about victories. Hats off to Mike Davis, because he's done one hell of a job already in only his second season as head coach.

Did anybody catch Knight on Bob Costas' HBO show last night? I only caught bits and pieces, but will try to catch the rest as it's reshown over the weekend. Bob's still a little bitter towards Mr. Davis . . .
If my job were to interview Knight, I'd look for work elsewhere methinks. I respect his coaching ability, and am amused at his antics at time, but he just appears so difficult.
Congrats to the Hoosiers. Just as long as Maryland doesn't win, I'm happy. (Natch that means they'll win)
Congrats to the indiana team... winning 73 to 64 against a very good oklahoma team. Ladies and Gentlemen they are going to the championship game. I wonder who they will be facing.
I am the JOBBER TO THE STARS. You better remember that.
