Billy King's reign of terror has come to an end...

ESPN - Sixers reportedly set to fire King, hire Stefanski

Billy King's reign in Philadelphia appears to be over.

The Philadelphia Daily News is reporting that the Sixers plan to fire their general manager and replace him with New Jersey Nets general manager Ed Stefanski.

Stefanski is expected to sign a multiyear contract, and his introduction will come at a Tuesday news conference, according to the newspaper.

I'm shocked King wasn't fired after the whole fiasco with Allen Iverson happened, but he's gone now, which should have Philly fans breathing a sigh of relief. Maybe the Sixers can be contenders again soon.

As under the radar as it may seem, this was one of the biggest moves of the offseason. Derek Fisher spurns Miami Heat offer, will return to Los Angeles As the local ESPN Radio affiliate noted, the Lakers absolutely had to bring Fisher back.
