Billy King's reign in Philadelphia appears to be over.
The Philadelphia Daily News is reporting that the Sixers plan to fire their general manager and replace him with New Jersey Nets general manager Ed Stefanski.
Stefanski is expected to sign a multiyear contract, and his introduction will come at a Tuesday news conference, according to the newspaper.
I'm shocked King wasn't fired after the whole fiasco with Allen Iverson happened, but he's gone now, which should have Philly fans breathing a sigh of relief. Maybe the Sixers can be contenders again soon.
"Wocka Wocka...who wants to hear a funny-ass joke?"
Of course, you have to also remember that the Illini are going to be basically playing at home for what, the first two of their games? And yes, the South is the weakest of all four regions and Duke has nobody who has shown they can play on their level.
