As a Mets fan I am ESTATIC right now..not only did we sign Glavine but we didn't cave in and give him 4 guaranteed. Seeing how Shea's a pitcher's park and Glavine is obsessed with 300 this hopefully will work out extremely well

At the very least it hurts the Braves

And fuck the phillies...

The fact that a Mets fan is so worked up about the Phillies makes me smile. I'll reserve my NY/Philly rivalry for the spring. (I'm actually happy there seems to be one)
Oh well, I'm pleased to see the Phils make an effort. Hopefully, they'll find someone else to blow money on.

How 'bout now?

Jamie Moyer's still on the market; rumor has it the Phils are going to try and get him instead. Not a bad second option by any means.

The M's got Moyer today in a three-year contract for $15.5 million.

So he's off the market.

If I'm reading the article right, the 135/540 or 270 starts/1080 plate appearances are for the option years of 2010 and 2011. The fail safe for 2006-2009 is if the left knee puts him on the DL for 25 plus games in '05.
