So therefore when Triple H wresltes someone like Maven (which he did) there is no interest because there is no way they will win.

It might not have been earth shattering surprising but I thought Kurt's first title reign was unexpected and each successful defense was surprising too.

As for Goldust? Eh, he's entertaining I guess, but he's boring in the ring, and I might be in the minority here, but I think the stuttering thing is just dumb. Plus he hasn't won a match in forever, I don't know if I want THAT big of an upset because they aren't going to be a credible champ. I think it'd work better with someone who (like Kurt) is probably going to be champion one day but it just surprises us that it came so early. The best examples that come to mind would be Edge (but obviously that can't happen), Cena, or Mysterio.

If they did go with a midcard guy though I'd totally markout for the Hurricane winning it. And then giving the thumbs up and the goofy smile as Raw goes off the air.

I'm not following your logic here. Exactly what gave Taka or Al any better shot at beating Triple H than Maven? What in the history of these wrestlers would make anybody believe that TAKA or Al were more likely winners (even as itty bitty as it was)? I would argue that the only difference was hot crowds, and really nothing more (at least nothing I can think of). But maybe I'm just missing something.

Giving Goldust the belt would be reason enough for me to actually tune in and watch RAW instead of just reading the recaps - maybe even have Marlena show up at ring side to stick her cigar in Trips eye - that would work for me

It was more likely to believe that Taka or Al would win back then because Triple H was beatable then. Now he's not even beatable against guys like Jericho, Booker, Kane, RVD, so why would we think that Maven would win.

Do any of u have any idea what Goldust has been through?
In fact what i have been through
Well anyway if any of u are aware of a magazine called Powerslam showing the story of Goldust and what he has been through.
The guy has trashed his gimmick twice burned his custume had to endure constant stick and lame fans and title runs, homosexuality accusations and probes into his family life and people who he had been feuding with dying on him
Myself i play a spoof Goldust character in our backyard organisation and this article made me appriciate him so much.
PS Goldie and Booker were one of the best things on Raw last year topped by the title winning match at Armageddon which in my opinion was one of the matches of the year once it was down to two teams.
I don't likethe Tourette's angle though its better if they keep him just slightly loopy

Personally, I think it make for an okay Raw main event, but that's about it. You're not going to win over a lot of people with a surprise match that just ends up with HHH winning it back the next week.

Are you saying the Internet is gay? Because I'm not so sure I'm inclined to disagree with that. ;-)

A PPV headlined by Nash and sponsored by hair color... Coincidence? Well, by definition, yes. But I thought it was cute.
