If this is done well I can't wait. Ghost Rider was always one of my faves from way back. Conversely, if done poorly this has the potential to suck horribly.
I was kind of amazed that one of the more obscure Marvel characters would get picked up.
Did they ever figure out who the "Ghost" part of the new Ghost Rider was?
It seems that I am - in no particular order - Zack Morris, John Adams, a Siren, Michael Novotny, Janeane Garofalo, Cheer Bear, Aphrodite, not racist, a Chihuahua, Data, Cletus the Slack Jawed Yokel, 20% Black, Amy-Wynn Pastor, Hydrogen, Bjork, Spider-Man, Tom Daschle, Boston, a Chaotic Good Elvin Bard-Mage, and not a Hipster.

Of course, the movie that started this whole thing, Blade, was an even more obscure character. Even more obscure than Shang Chi, for that matter.

Man-Thing actually has a movie coming, if you want to see king of obscure. Manny has always been a favourite of mine. Claremont, Matteis, tons of good writers poured their souls into him only to get cancelled before 30 issues.
The Ghost Rider movie can't be rated R, and thus it will suck.. The guy is "a fucking demon" (THANKS JASON LEE!) he's not exactly family material.
Where do you people get 'obscure' from? Ghost Rider was very popular in the 80s and the 70s actually. ManThing, Shang Chi, these characters had thier own books. Ray Park is working on doing an Iron Fist movie. THIS would be a bit more 'obscure' if you like using the word so much.
For a true obscure comic adaption, Scifi network has a telefilm comming up based on an EXCELLENT series called Strikeforce Morituri from the 80s. Also, I think it was Wesley Snipes again who also wants to get a Brother Voodoo film going soon. Gargoyle, from the Defenders is also getting a movie which boggles my mind.
Cerebus: Barbarian, Prime Minister, Pope, Perfect House Guest.

My "obscure super hero they should make a movie out of" has got to be Silver Sable. That would be cool.
Again - whatever happened to the new version of Ghost Rider?

Dear God. When I was scrolling down through here I was going to post a message saying how I hoped to all that was holy that they never made an Iron Fist movie. Thanks, Cerebus...you just made me cry. Let us hope they update the costume just a bit!
Ving Rhames was supposededly working on getting that character to the screen, but I think it fell apart when some studio exec said 'That's gonna SUCK, Fuck no!'
