Hmmm.

I just got promoted from Cruiserweight to Light Heavyweight.

Does that mean I just jumped feds?

It means that you are no longer in one of the minor feds with the threat of being fired without ever appearing on WWF tv, while the internet yells that you should be a contender.
As a LHWeight you have a match once very two weeks or so on Jakked..
Gratz!!

So if I'm about to go from Valet to Cruiser, I go from being well appreciated eye candy to some guy featured in dark matches. Hmmm... thats not so good.

That's why the ranking system is how it is.

No one, as a Cruiserweight, wants to make the jump to Light Heavyweight. Because of course, Cruiserweight is associated with WCW's CW division, which largely rocked, even if the rest of the program absolutely sucked.

Meanwhile, the WWF's Light Heavyweight division, has just been.. eh... it hasn't even been there for most of the time.

I have a feeling CRZ did that on purpose to prevent people from making that particular jump quickly.

No matter how bad things may get, just imagine what would happen if Vince Russo was booking again, and you will feel better.

Yeah, but if you post another 100 times, you get to be a contender for the Intercontinental Title!

...When was the last time a member of the Light Heavyweight Division got built up to an Intercontinental Title shot, anyway? LOL...

Jeff Hardy..X-Pac probably was. although he was first the IC contender and then LHW i guess.
On the other hand, cruiserweight champ Jericho is now your undisputed champ. Benoit climbed the ranks.

There's only been two former LH champions to have also won the Intercontinental title, Jeff Hardy (which title did he win first though? I honestly can't remember), and CHRISTIAAAANNNNNNN!!!!

Tajiri also won the US championship, but since it was after the merger, I don't count it as much.

Are you thinking of Jeff Lacy? I'd like to see him fight someone decent. I think Gatti actually has a decent chance against Mayweather. Can Floyd actually hurt Gatti? I doubt it. The real issue is can Gatti hit Floyd?
