Say what you will about red states versus blue states, but things could always be worse. It's unfortunate, though, that things in Germany have gotten so bad that they've actually reflected on this thought.
I have a couple problems with this. 2,000 people were surveyed in a country of 83 MILLION (http://www.nationbynation.com/Germany/Population.html). Is that REALLY a high enough number of people to assume that most of the country wants the wall back?
Secondly, only 12% want the wall back in the east- that means 88% DON'T, right? I guess the headline wouldn't be as sexy if they focused on that side. Personally, I don't consider 12% (or 25% really, for that matter) to be "many."
We've also got to remember that Germany as a united country doesn't even have a history half that of the US. I can only imagine the level of frustration that has risen in West Germany since reunification. I am surprosed numbers aren't higher. Guru is correct that the numbers are low.
He must live in his own little delusional world in Vermont. Lets see, I turned the Senate over to the Democrats, and even if I rejoin you, I'll still vote against most of your policies. Anyway, can I join you and keep my chairmanship?
