| #3 Posted on 15.8.02 1552.39 | Bush just gave a speech a few hours ago at Mt. Rushmore. Kind of like he's been doing since his working "vacation" started. yeh, some vacation. I guess that "schmuck" doesn't know what a real vacation is. It means you don't work. As in, don't go out as president and make speeches. But I don't expect a left winger to understand it if they still call him "unelected".

In other news: Bush is probably worn out from all the hard work he's been doing, like . . . um. I dunno. Signing laws that really should have been passed years ago, before corporation's lying caught up to them.

Um... since when is it "work" to give speeches? Now I understand that he does not have the best command of the English language, so one might consider HIS speeches "work", but other than that, I don't see how talking to his adoring public constitutes work...

| #14 Posted on 16.8.02 0952.27 | [incredible flaming sarcasm] Besides, for what its really worth, does anything Bush does really count as work. He probably just sits around all day in the oval office chewing his pencils and waiting for Cheney to tell him what to do. Why not let them take him for a walk so he can enjoy the nice fresh air. [/incredible flaming sarcasm]
[horrid joke] if any president with half a brain would get out of Washington, why did Bush leave? (rimshot) [/horrid joke]

Yeah, well, how about that photo op of him chopping wood. In August. In Texas.
And I suppose I was being unfair. I mean, he did take last August off as well, and if really caused any problems, there would have been some sort of catastrophic event early last September that we were miserably unprepared for, right?

| #20 Posted on 16.8.02 1549.19 | Err if you're the president you're working 24 hours a day, vacation or not. Isn't the president still working when they go to Europe or Asia, or anywhere else. Apparently you MUST be in DC, or else you're not working.
The best thing about these 'vacations' is that congress is not in session. You should always invest on the first day they go into recess.
This recession is really hitting me hard, and our company. We only have increased profits 30% over last year. Last year we increased profits by 20% and have done that since I've worked here.
