It may not mean much to young ears but everyone who cares about rock and popular music needs to take a moment to remember George Martin who died at 90. As the "fifth Beatle" his contributions were enormous but he was active as a producer and actually produced the biggest selling single of all time, Elton John's 1997 "Candle In the Wind." RIP
