I have two US Bank checking accounts - a joint and a solo account. I also have two overdraft accounts, apparently. Your software only added one overdraft and the solo account. All accounts are normally accessed using the same username and password - when I log in to my banks site I see both checking and both overdraft. Is there a setting I'm missing to tell it to pick up the joint checking account? For Washington Mutual it picked up my multiple accounts fine, but not for US Bank.

    Hi!
One of our highest priorities is streamlining and enhancing our customer support. We are aggressively working on this, and we hope to make some significant changes very soon.
Im closing your ticket in hopes that everything is now working correctly as we have fixed some issues that might pertain to your problem. Please try to upload/update your account again. However, if youre still experiencing any issues, please dont hesitate to contact us (to create another support ticket, please visit https://www.geezeo.com/support). We will promptly get back to you next time!
You can also check out our Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs) page at http://www.geezeo.com/pages/f_a_q.
Thanks so much! We hope that youre enjoying Geezeo!!

Your request has either been solved or closed by a Geezeo Team member.
If you have any more questions, please open another support request.

I opened this support request months ago on November 2nd, 2007. That was 109 days ago. They got back to me today.

This is pretty much the definition of shitty customer support. I would not recommend trusting these people with your account information, as they don't seem to be very responsive when there are issues.

Yeah, so did the problem fix itself sometime between last Nov and now, or did they just close your ticket without fixing anything at all??

Hi!
I work for Geezeo and am actually the one who sent you the last message about streamlining and enhancing our customer support. We seriously are working VERY hard on this. Since you made your ticket, we have made many updates and improvements to the site. We did not get back to you in an acceptable amount of time; however, I did let you know that we made some changes. I didn't just expect it to fix itself. I closed your ticket in hopes that our updates solved your problem. If that wasn't the case I did give you the URL to create a new ticket and promised to get right back to you. If you're still experiencing any problems, I honestly would like to know and help out. We also have a live chat (M-F, 9 AM to 5 PM) to help troubleshoot user issues.
I'm very sorry that you're so upset. We know that we need to do something about our customer support and we're on our way to making the necessary changes.
Please give us a chance before knocking our free service next time. We really are trying to offer you a wonderful financial tool.
My personal email is rdegutis@geezeo.com. Please feel free to contact me at any time, and I (and the Geezeo team) will do our best to get everything resolved for you.
Best,

I expect CRZ to tell us a Google search for "Geezeo+shitty" led to that post. Fantastic. Hide tags, next time, maybe?

I think Guru's reference to "That was 109 days ago. They got back to me today." indicates he felt like he did give you guys a chance.

Don't you Google yourself once a day?

Sometimes I'll Google myself TWICE in a day!

I'm a lot older than I used to be, though.

I'M more interested in hearing about how Mr. Paranoid apaprently gave all his financial information to a company with a name like that, but I can ask him offline. ;-)

I would have accepted her response if it was just a tiny bit more apologetic and had a little less pissy attitude.

But....but God gave us Google Alerts to save you the time.

I've got them set up for work I mean. Not on ME personally. And not just cause I get trumped by the pesky ex-Celtic keeper who shares my name but achieved more fame.

Mostly, but not just.

Side note to feed your narcissism - A couple weeks back ESPN's TMQ said in his column he reckoned he was the only person who could be found immediately by Googling but three initials. Turns out you also share that honour.

    Hi Guru Zim!
Thank you for giving us a second chance. To answer a few of your blogs questions. Yes I do Google myself and that is how I found your dissatisfaction with our customer support So, no, I am not a stalker (I know this is your ticket because your username is [redacted] and this new ticket is almost the same as the one you posted on your site)... So, dont be afraid! I want to sincerely apologize if my reply came off as if I have a pissy attitude (comment from Kevintripod). I honestly have been working hard on the customer support and just wanted to make sure that you knew that we are making changes, and that we really do appreciate you trying out our site.
Im not exactly sure what the technical problem is with your account. Currently we dont support multiple logons from the same bank (well be adding that soon), but as you only use one username and password to access all your US Bank accounts, we should pull them in the same way we did your WaMu accounts. This said, I have assigned your ticket to Kyle. Hes amazing, and will be able to give you more detailed information and hopefully a solution. Hell be in touch soon (and soon doesnt equal 109 days promise!).
If you want to get that absent US Bank account on your home page right now, you can always upload an OFX file.
An OFX file is a data file used by popular software packages like Microsoft Money and many bank websites. Heres how to upload your OFX file(s):
    1. Manually add your bank under the account tab if it isnt already there.
    2. Download your OFX data from your software folder or financial institution (It is different for each financial institution. Contact yours if you have difficulty.)
    3. Click on your banks name. This opens up this specific account. (Double click on your banks name if youd like to rename it).
    4. Click on Upload OFX Data and upload the OFX file found in your software folder.
Thanks for giving us another chance! Im excited to get this up and running for you!!
    Thanks again,
    Ruthann

Well, I guess I can't call her a liar, because I haven't waited a full 109 days. Soon could have meant anything more than 85 days but less than 109. Not my definition of soon, but whatever. I still haven't heard from Kyle (Did you know he's amazing?)

Kyle did get back to me on a different issue, filed the same day (Around Feb 22, 2008). The last time I heard from him was March 2, 2008. Here's a fun transcript of that exchange.

    Hi!
Thanks for creating a support ticket!
Im sorry to hear that youre having some issues updating your ETrade account.
Please take the following steps to fix the connection between Geezeo and your account:
    1. Click on your ETrade account.
    2. Click on Change Login Credentials (one of the small blue links under your account name).
    3. Type in your Username and Password (as you would when logging into ETrades website).
    4. Click Finalize.
This reconnects to the bank, and should now pull the new transactions into Geezeo.
If this does not solve your problem, or if you have any other questions, please dont hesitate to contact us, and/or check out our FAQ page (http://www.geezeo.com/pages/f_a_q).
    Thanks for using Geezeo!!
    Response from

This did not resolve the issue. I still show many stocks that I sold back on 12/19/07.

    Response from Ruthann DeGutis

    Heya!
Thank you for trying that. I apologize for the inconvenience!
Im re-assigning your ticket to Kyle (one of our technical gurus). Hell be in touch with more information, and hopefully well have this issue resolved very soon.
    Thank you again!!
    Ruthann

    Response from Ruthann DeGutis

    Hi
Were still working on this Thank you very much for your continued patience! If you have any questions in the mean time, please dont hesitate to contact us.
    Thanks!!

    Response from Kyle Daigle

    Hey there -
Do you think you have an estimated date as to when the last update possibly was? That will help me figure out what is going on with your lack of updates. Thanks for your patience!

    Response from me

No, I dont know. I had about the same portfolio for a number of months. It might never have updated after the initial load. I sold a number of stocks on Dec. 19 because E-trade had a fee free trading day. I know it has been stuck since then, at least.
I can delete the account and add it back in now, but Im not sure if thats going to fix it in the long run. I probably wont sell anything Im holding right now for a long time.

    Response from me

it looks like it has updates for all of my stocks sold on 11/14. Stuff sold on 12/19 is still there. I am not sure when I loaded E-trade into Geezeo.

    Response from Kyle Daigle

    Hey there -
Just wanted to give you an update. Im working on getting this issue fixed. Sorry for the delay!

As of this moment, it is still showing all of those stocks that I sold back in December.

I believe I've already made a statement regarding my opinion of Geezeo support. I think this should show you what you can expect from them.

I had really hoped that since I was "on the radar" that someone might actually help me. I guess they really didn't deserve a second chance, after all.

Pretty shitty support, if you ask me.

I've got an account at Mint.com now. It picked up all of my accounts at US Bank the first time. My e-trade account is current and correct.

My personal recommendation, based on the customer service response I have received, and based on the problems I have had with the service, is that you should stay far away from Geezeo. This is a subpar service in my opinion.
