If you go with PS2, you can buy Metal Gear, Final Fantasy and GTA games.
If you buy Gamecube, you can buy Metroid, Mario, and Zelda games.
I decided Metroid and Zelda were the games I really wanted, so I went with a Gamecube, but please note I MOURN and LAMENT my lack of Metal Gear and Final Fantasy.

| #22 Posted on 5.11.02 1701.49 | Instant Rating: 4.95 | I've got both and I've been playing the GameCube more, even after I bought GTA Vice City. Animal Crossing is just so addictive, and I can't explain why. That and SMS just seem like so much more pure fun compared to the darker PS2 stuff.
But I'm not disappointed with the PS2 - FFX, Dark Cloud, and the GTA games have been well worth it. (okay, maybe my assessment of PS2 has something to do with the game selection)
It's been said, but find the games that you want, then go with the system. Bottom line is that this is a GREAT time to be a gamer. Never have I had a better excuse for the constant sitting and snacking
