A whole new take on a childhood comic strip.

Garfield minus Garfield

Who would have guessed that when you remove Garfield from the Garfield comic strips, the result is an even better comic about schizophrenia, bipolor disorder, and the empty desperation of modern life? Friends, meet Jon Arbuckle. Letís laugh and learn with him on a journey deep into the tortured mind of an isolated young everyman as he fights a losing battle against lonliness and methamphetamine addiction in a quiet American suburb.

Just two examples:

While I can appreciate the fact that Steve McNiven put a lot of love into his artwork (and it shows), two months is too long a wait for THIS. This issue would have been less than average on a monthly title, much less a bi-monthly mega-event.
