| #1 Posted on 23.2.04 1521.39 | Instant Rating: 3.04 | Don't know if anyone has come across this problem before with their GameCubes, but it seems that mine is no longer reading memory cards that are in Slot A ... Actually, scratch that; it IS reading stuff from the memory card in Slot A, but refuses to write/save anything to it.
I first noticed this when I tried to play "Animal Crossing", where it initially seemed as if nothing was wrong (it "recognized" all the names associated with my town) but when I tried to actually tried to start up the game it gave me an error message.
Then it started happening with the rest of my games ... It loaded up the game alright, but once I actually tried to save my progress there was an error. I can get by somewhat by putting the memory card in Slot B (although some games refuse to "boot up" unless there's a memory card in Slot A; WTF?) but I was just wondering if there was any "quick fix" anyone has come across before I just go out and buy a new one ...

Just so you guys know: 75% of this crap [you read on the internet] is made up, either by the writer, or the wrestler the writer is getting the dirt from. Just so you know. -- Statement by "Tammy Sytch", from Hyatte's Dec. 29th column ... Lest we forget.

The lesson: NEVER trust MadCatz unless you absolutely have to.
