Hopefully, I won't double post this time. So, who likes funerals and heart break. Well, last week was hyped as the Get your Tissues Ready...this week I feel delivered on that promise starting with the massive funeral for everyone who died last week. Danny whispers something to Jorah and we get Jon's best speech to date and frankly the best any leader has given since Obama left.
After that, a drunken party starts when Danny makes Gendry, the Lord of Stormkeep. Brie and Jamie finally go at it after Tyrion's drinking game. Danny alone again in the world leaves early. Ayra turns down Gendry's marriage proposal. Danny begs Jon to keep his mouth shut, but he can't so everyone knows that he is heir to the Throne. We even get some great Tyrion and Varys scenes about what to do especially after Danny is sneaked attack by Euron who kills Viserion and captures Miss Sunday.
Here we get a scene that is great and kinda stupid. Tyrion convinces Danny to negotiate to save the city and Miss Sunday by allowing Cersei to surrender and live. Cersei having none of this has Darth Mountain kill Muss Sunday and could have murdered everyone when Danny's Army was out in he open instead we cut to black
Other things that happen are Arya and the Hound heading to King's Landing for some unfinished business..Cleagen Bowl..bitches. Bronn agrees not to kill Tyrion and Jamie in exchange for High Garden, but doesn't give info about King's Landing even though that is what he should do if he wants it. Jamie leaves when it looks like Cersei is going to win and breaks Brie' s heart. And Jon's Northern friends leave which is Tommond, the Tulley's and Ghost, all leave.
So, now it's on to the final battle where if they don't stop Cersei now, fuck them. This storyline should have ended last season, but they like Cersei and new toy, Euron. Honestly, I understand the need for this episode, but if they don't finally pull the trigger of defeating Cersei then Holy Fuck..what the hell is the point of this going on for two seasons.
How my mind works: when Jaime said "I surmised!", I totally heard the horns from the Snow Miser/Heat Miser song in my head: "I'm Mister smart cookie, I'm Mister scout/I'm Mister observant, I'm Mister figure-it-out/Friends call me Surmiser…"
There were some really nice moments, but the plot development didn't make much sense. It's hard enough to buy Dany feeling the need to go invade King's Landing right away when her army and dragons aren't recovered from this huge fight, but at the very least have all your forces arrive together! And how in the world does anyone imagine Cersei will surrender when she just destroyed one of your two big weapons?
