Best night of baseball ever? Best night of baseball ever.
Even as a Dodger fan, I had something to keep my eyes glued to the TV: Matt Kem(v)p with a legit shot at 40/40. Sure, he didn't make it, but he hit one last blast that put him alone at the top of the NL home run heap.
I normally dislike the Cardinals, but I found myself pulling for them to overtake the Braves. This was mostly due to Rafael Furcal, who I like a lot. The Dodgers traded him to St. Louis so he'd have one more shot with a contender, and it worked out.
That said, I'm throwing my weight behind the Brew Crew.
The explanation is in the 'All Time Red Sox Team' Thread. Here it is for the hated Yankees: C- Yogi Berra. Three MVPs put him ahead of Bill Dickey 1B- Lou Gehrig 2B- Willie Randolph. It's a coin flip between him and Tony Lazzeri.
