That's kind of what I figured would happen (see the "Paul Bearer done with WWE" thread). There is a lot they could have done with this to make it a little more interesting...I know Kane is wrapped up with people on Raw, but you'd think his "dad" being freakin' MURDERED would warrant some involvement. I also think Bearer could have been put with Mordecai since he could definitely use a mouthpiece.
Oh well. TTFN, Uncle Paul. You are the master of wacky facial expressions. When you are magically resurrected for like Wrestlemania 25, it'll be nice to see you again.

Meh, I made my viewpoint known in my column on LOP this weekend.
They're promoting a PPV with the notion someone is going to be killed.

Austin drops a trapped-in-car HHH from a forklift. HHH appears shortly thereafter without a scratch on him.
Kane is thrown into a giant flaming dumpster. He's fine and dandy.
Big Show drops a car on Bob Holly. The occasion is quickly forgotten.
Mae Young gives birth to a lube-covered sex toy after doing it with a black man.
If you've been willing to continue watching after all of that, Paul Bearer getting entombed in concrete is not that big of a deal.

Absolutely no offense intended, but tell that to the Hart family.

Looks like he's going to get the cement regardless. But the original idea was if Taker doesn't job for the Dudleys, they kill Bearer.

Now, since I didnt see the PPV, someone tell me how the thing was rigged for him to get out of that? did he slip out the back? I wonder what they used instead of cement.
 I miss the GWF.

Unless anyone here works for WWE's live crew and wants to out themselves, I don't see how anyone here is going to know the answers to your questions. It's not as if watching the PPV would give you the answers, as it wasn't even Paul Bearer in the final scene of the concrete crypt. And if it was, I also doubt one could have seen Paul secretly escaping, for obvious reasons. | SeVen â„¢

Well. That was out of left field.
I agree though...if you look at a picture of him from like 1992 and then a picture of him now, he looks in a lot better shape. I guess he's working harder since he's getting older...say what you will about him not selling or whatever, but he does work pretty hard to stay in decent condition.
*edit*
I need to overdub Bart Simpson saying "LINE?" after UT messes up what he says to Bearer and asks for what he should have said on that video above.

| #15 Posted on 28.6.04 1813.27 | Instant Rating: 5.66 | Actually, those clips of Paul Bearer are what they used during the show. In the arena, it was just a stunt guy with Paul Bearer mask and make-up. That's why no close-ups were shown (except from the ones taken' from this video).
Funny, because when Heyman FIRST pulled the lever, no cement came out. On the big screen, they showed a clip of it pouring out. But, in the arena... Nothing! It didn't start coming out until a little later. I thought that was suspicious, but didn't think too much of it. I later heard people in the arena saying it wasn't really Paul Bearer. Turns out, it wasn't.
There was no rigging for the guy to get out of the crypt. IMMEDIATLEY after the show went off the air, workers ran down, opened the crypt, and let the guy out (the "quick drying cement" just poured out of the thing). He wasn't in there for more than 30 seconds.

I was actually wondering how they did it. The only bad thing was from where I was sitting at the arena, I couldn't see the crypt very well at all. I did see inside when they first rolled it out and it looked a lot like Paul Bearer but I was on the other side of the arena (right by the Subway blimp thing) and I havent seen the video of it yet. However, I did see them yank the door open immediately after the PPV was over and a whole bunch of people ran over there to get him out and in the back.
