In response to Yahoo's response to Google's offer of 1 free gig, Google has upped their free storage to 2 GIG (story.news.yahoo.com).

Competition is indeed a wonderful thing...

...and beyond apparently...if you go to the login page, it's got an automatically updating counter that's currently scrolling your account space up to 2GB.

It's their "infinity +1" plan...they explain the joke in a different link.

Also...they're now allowing formatting, and GMail now works pretty seamlessly with Picasa...I'm very happy I finally got mine from another "W". (btw...I like every other g-mail user have 50 invites if anyone's interested, just private message me your e-mail address)

If they would just handle contacts differently, I would be happier. I have to remember my contacts or start with contacts. I'd like to do it differently.

I also wish there were an easier way to do groups - that is very painful. But possible.

The part Guru is talking about is the PRAM battery. Instructions for resetting it can be found here. But, given the symptoms, you probably will have better luck trying a reset of the "Cuda" a.k.a. the Power Management Unit.
