Okay, I'm pretty sure no one has mentioned this before...
According to Billy West himself, Futurama will be returning to tv with 26 new episodes (billywest.com). Apparently the original plan for the straight-to-DVD movies has been scrapped and the details for the series are being worked out. No word of which channel will get the episodes, but this is awesome news!
They really should just try a whole different approach and...I dunno...skip Fox entirely. Just place the new episodes on Adult Swim, which is where the majority of viewers go anyway. I don't want the series to land on Fox and get jerked around again.
This is about the fourth time Billy's done something like this. I mean, I like the guy, but I wish he could learn to separate "wild rumor" from "highly credible rumor that has a ghost of a chance of being true":
Guys, I'm sorry I gave inaccurate info on the cartoon.I was told on one end that the TV show was a go but DXC enlightened me (with a hammer) that this was not the case.I think there is a Futurama project as in DVD's but I appearently had bad info. But I do live to give good Futurama news to people. So I must've died or something.
I just read that "Desparate Housewives" scored a higher rating that the "Survivor" finale, and that, as a series, was the lowest rated season of the entire show.* I don't really watch the show, but has the quality dropped that much?
